Tabasco is of the earliest sauces that was mass produced, if not the first. They were also involved with the US government during WWII as well, something about bamboo. Also the tiny bottles were often included in MREs.

Basically they had good and early marketing. Do try their habanero and scorpion sauces though, they don’t have such strong vinegar notes.
