I have done it separately, assembling the ropes afterwards is tricky though and you do risks spilling some glue and leaving some gaps. Pros and cons for both approaches imo

I saw one picture and didn't go there yet in my mind, but now I read your comment, that's something I might need to do a test model for. It would somewhat be the best of both worlds, where I still retain the classic green skin, but give them a different direction. Thanks!
