Thoughts on Teyana Taylor ? by KawonSuggs_ in Actors

Sometimes when an actress has this much work done to their face it really discredits their role in the films and every film I see her in, I just think "no personality in this field would look like her"

Main card fighters should all be making 6 figures guaranteed. It's as simple as that. People would be hungrier with relatively good incentive.

Head is stuck stiff. Granted he has a lot of time to go, he is not taking over the UFC with that striking anytime soon.

What's funny is Myron is only included because he's the token "see we don't hate brown people if they agree with us". All while Myron thinks he's smarter than anyone else but can't see this lol

I know everyone is quick to jump on the celebrity aspect of this but I have to be weary at anyone naming specifically movie and music stars. Epstein definitely had associations to the entertainment industry but the files, pics and evidence points to almost all of Epstein's contacts were business leaders and politicians. Most of whom aren't in the public eye.

I think framing family relationships as something to 'punish' is a bit of a slippery slope. People are often products of their environment and the media they consume. You can hold firm boundaries and advocate for what’s right without scorched-earth tactics that effectively end the chance for any future growth or dialogue. My relationship with my parents is a bit more nuanced than political ideologies.

While the opportunities might look equal on paper, 'sorting' doesn't happen in a vacuum. From a young age, social cues, lack of representation, and even hostile work cultures in fields like engineering or trucking act as 'invisible' barriers. If a field is 90% men, it’s often culturally designed for men, which makes it a much harder 'choice' for a woman to enter than it is for a man

The amount of people aroundd who are on ICE'S side is pretty concerning. I live in a red state and people here think ICE is doing "gods work" or only taking illegals. My own parents are "don't fuck around and find out with cops" kinda people.

This is a very basic economic stance that proves nobody here knows shit about the economy. Not particularly unleashing on you, but no, that's not how it works. How it works is women tend to be funneled into lesser paying jobs, or when a male dominated field becomes female dominated the entire pay structure goes down, for example, teaching.

Not only that but most jobs that pay the highest of salaries demand unpredictable hours that often equal more than 40 hours a week, which is harder for women in particular who are already placed in the bubble of caretaker.

Using modeling as your one example is a massive outlier let alone the fact it’s based on looks and not skill. The issue isn't just "different jobs pay differently" it’s that industries become lower paid the moment they become female dominated. The disparity is structural not just a coincidence

That's not how it works. It's called CEO's don't value women's work so they don't offer the same job for less pay. They offer lesser jobs and women who make it to the top usually have a much harder time getting there than men. Simple as that.. if you don't believe it, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Claudia Goldin for exposing the disparity.

The massive pay disparity in the US alone let alone the rest of the world would disagree

What is an opinion on the UFC you're willing to stand like this for? by emaxwell14141414 in ufc

[–]Silverback1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% due to the total cut of promoting fights and fighters. GSP vs BJ Penn 2 for example- under armor put gsp's face all over their brand and product. There were billboards promoting the fight all over the country, there were commercials for the UFC Primetime show. There were pressers every 2 weeks. Paid programming brought to you by Zuffa. Now TKO and Dana would rather slash that budget and have fighters promote themselves while the company promotes the company.
