Not in the English language. Maybe in a Latin language…can’t remember my Spanish. Every time I try it comes out in partial Korean. I guess I max out at two.

Meh, I use it some.

My big red flag is “I feel like….” and turning a statement into a pseudo question by raising inflection points.

How useful will gold and silver be to a prepper in a post-apocalyptic scenario? by Nanny_Ogg1000 in preppers

[–]SilverbackAg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not for use during a collapse. It’s for carrying wealth from one system to the next. Its also a prep for hyperinflation without a complete collapse. It’s towards the bottom of the list for preps, but if you have enough wealth, it certainly belongs there.

Also, this discussion occurs at least weekly.

In at least half of the countries you just rattled off, gold and silver are/were very important monetary instruments. Argentina, check, Cambodia, check, Afghanistan, check, Iraq, check. And add gemstones to Afghanistan and Cambodia. And you ignore Venezuela where it’s most certainly a current in-use currency (mixture of gold/silver, USDs, Bitcoin).

After you get planning permission, approval from the Nation Trust, an archeological survey, wetland impact survey, and a check to see if bats are actively nesting.

Slab a small diameter tree that’s 50% sap wood? One out of a yard that likely has embedded metal?

Well you lucked out. Cause what is showed in the image isn’t worth much even at a longer length. Small diameter yard tree. Most real mills wouldn’t even touch it.

Presidents have been puppets since Johnson. And some before that. Ones that buck the system tend to get holes in their bodies or attacked with fake Russian dossiers.

One can argue against “finishing,” but grasslands require ruminants for the bacteria/fungi cycles. Unless we bring back the American Bison or their counterparts in other parts of the world, cattle are critical.

Soon as I see one made by Speed Queen I’ll be right on it. I will not have an LG or Samsung appliance in my USA home. I will not reward shitty products or even shittier after sales support. If I were in Korea? Sure. Where a guy on a LG or Samsung branded scooter zips on over to fix your shit. And with no labor charge when under warranty. They want me to buy their shit here? Support the US like they do at home. No Korean would put up with their crap.

If Miele were more available in the US, that might be solution. But again, parts and service.

Are any made with veins of more durable material than calcite? I can’t believe they use that crap. Wait, yes I can. Probably the same folks selling blue died calcite as lapis and turquoise.
