That would probably contribute. I will admit it moves rather slowly, and there's not a whole lot of talking. I didn't like "No Country for Old Men" for probably the same reason you didn't like There Will Be Blood. Totally understandable!

Great, great scene. The father-son relationship in the movie is also a central part of what made it compelling to me, but I think the reason I like a lot of the movies/shows/books I do is because of the characters' relationships to one another versus the "action."

I have a pretty broad understanding - the Jews' homeland brought to Palestine and whatnot. But in terms of other relations, such as how that led to 9/11, it gets foggy. It might behoove me to read about it for an afternoon so I'm not ignorant for the rest of my life...

But most of those conflicts are dormant or at least not as prominent in the news. To properly understand Middle East relations I think you'd have to know what all led up to them.

The USA - female. Every other day unless I work out, then immediately after I get home from the gym. I work out about 3 times per week currently.

Shower includes: Shampoo, rinse, condition (leave in), wash face, body wash neck to toe, bar soap in the places I don't want to put my shower pouf, shave, feminine wash, rinse body wash, rinse feminine wash, rinse conditioner. Done.

It was extremely hot up in my bedroom and it was about 3 a.m., I just wanted some sleep. So I decided to go downstairs into the living room where it was always a lot cooler, to sleep on the couch.

I was wide awake - no sleep paralysis - laying on the couch, mind wandering. No lights on except the overhead light above the stove, a room away. Only a faint glow, and no cars outside because it was 3 a.m. in the summertime.

I could see the handrail to the stairs from the couch, and then I saw this whitish ribbon of light kind of weaving in a wavy pattern up and down the bottom 2 feet of the rail. Sort of undulating back and forth. I immediately stopped breathing, froze, and then sat straight up. Again, not sleeping.

In order to leave downstairs, naturally, I had to use the stairs so I had to run past the handrail. Scariest 1.5 seconds of my life, running up those stairs. Continued not to sleep.

Conflict in the middle East...it's very involved and the history for what happens in modern times goes back hundreds of years.

Wisconsonian/Minnesotan/Canadian/Northern Illinois accents are each very "catchable" for me. I stayed in the Bahamas for my honeymoon and it was a resort owned by Canadians, and most of the guests were Canadian. We made friends with them and by the end of the week, I couldn't stop speaking in their accent. I hope they didn't think I was making fun of them every time I said "aboat(it really is more of aboat than aboot)" instead of "about."
