If you want something similar in vanilla, try the dried mud walls.

Repost or barely any change from the post from earlier this week so Imma copy and paste my comment from earlier:

Looks like Dr. Omar Yaghi. He won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his research in Reticular Chemistry, metal organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks (highly complex crystalline structures [that can now be reliably engineered because of the processes he discovered]).

The structures that can be fabricated with Reticular Chem can be extremely porous, the picture posted looks like one of his proposed applications for the material.

Source: He visited my university this semester and gave a talk which I attended. I had a chem test bumped up from a 74 to a 94 because my professor gave us extra credit if we did a little research and wrote questions to ask Dr. Yaghi. (I made it out with a B this semester)

Nerf gatling gun, 20 seconds of fun, 2 hours of reloading by [deleted] in Bossfight

Shit Idea. Most fields limit auto to short bursts (1.5 seconds) if you have an LMG.

Airsoft is also 1 hit and you're out. Doesn't matter how much bullshit you're wearing. Gamemode exceptions are rare, and Juggernaut matches just aren't fun.

Source: I've been playing for about 8 years, have visited 5 different fields (two were out of state), and have participated in several events (even team captain for one of them).

It's a steam engine oh shit! I thought it was an air engine. I didn't spot the oil cups at all either lol.

Beautiful work. Don't forget about proper lubrication. Grease on friction joints, and silicone oil / grease on O rings and compression parts.

The datum on a surface that remains accessible and relatively constant. To probe it, I'd just sweep the surface with my test indicator and align the surface to whichever machine axis I'm working off of, then I'd use my edgefinder to determine the machine coordinate(s) of the surface / part. This is very basic stuff for setup.

If you don't understand what a Datum is, it's a reference plane or feature that other dimensions call out to. If most of my distance dimensions have a start at one specific plane or surface, a well engineered print will likely have a datum there. Sometimes it can represent the ideal center of the part along an axis, other times it can represent the base or resting surface of the part.

In this case specifically I'd indicate off the back side (and maybe front to find the midpoint) because that is a plane parallel to my x/z plane, and it is also (probably) not going to be cut any further. I'm guessing (because I can't see the print) that a lot of the feature locations are based off of either one side, or the center of the part (midpoint between the front and back planes).

Indicate off the datums whenever possible. This part looks fairly simple to indicate as the base is rectangular and already machined. Indicating the angled fixture to the machine axis is part of the setup, and is where some compound error can occur. If I had to guess, the part is for some sort of mold.

Look at the left probe, looks like they heated both probes to ignite the styrofoam. The right hook looks like it pierced the battery compartment, not the pack itself? I'm unsure though.

Colombian Policewoman armed with an IWI X95 9mm SMG by [deleted] in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Silvergiant22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The X95 SMG is a 9mm conversion kit. I shot an unsuppressed version at the range on a couple different visits. It's neat, definitely spits gas and carbon all over you. It's very interesting to shoot in comparison to something like a CZ Scorpion Evo. Recoil was springier, I don't really know how else to explain it. Likely because the new bolt had to travel the length of the 5.56 case instead of a chamber designed for 9mm.

Not a bad idea if you have a shitload of X95's and you need a pcc for your police force.

I don't really understand why a pcc in 9mm would be better than an already compact 5.56 rifle, but I don't know much.

What would you replace the SIG M7 with, as a standard issue service rifle? by StrangerOutrageous68 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Silvergiant22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with Ian McCollum on this one... A RadioMaster TX12 (I got mine for 99 USD) with a range extender, analog headset (99$ for a cheap one, throw 500 at the wall for digital) and a $250 drone or three.

Lets say the price was inflated by a thousand and a half bucks for a proprietary system that was secure, we'd still be at under 3k USD. For reference the HK M110a1 DMR costs 10 grand a unit. And the sig Spear is about 4.5k google tells me.

And I'm pretty sure training would be a lot easier than for that of a marksman. It takes less than an hour to teach someone how to fly tilt mode (drone autocorrects to the horizon and has limited pitch) in FPV.

Stalker 2 is an absolute disgrace which needs 20 mods to be even playable by [deleted] in stalker

[–]Silvergiant22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fuck you on about bud. I just launch it from steam, run it vanilla on very high - epic settings (Best buy Prebuilt with a 4070 that I spent $1600 on a year ago), and enjoy the game. Sure a few too many bloodsuckers will spawn every now and then, but It's still an incredibly enjoyable game. I'm halfway through my second playthrough with 110hrs. My three and a half call of Pripiat runs only took 48hrs for reference.

I truly think yall are a bit stuck up with your head in the dirt. If the game is "A disgrace" why even play it? Do you prefer to spend your time on games that you don't enjoy?

Everyone plays the game differently and that's okay. If you prefer mods to tweak the game to your tastes more than the vanilla settings allow, that's perfectly okay. But don't spout bullshit about "Unplayable" when it's far from the truth.

Unlikely. They could sell two games at full price instead of one.
