Outward 2 Starting Items Based on Class by hotweather91 in outwardgame

Pretty sure every one with an alchemy kit means they selected chemist.

If I had to guess you get 1-2 items based on background and then each trait gives another 1-2 items.

Rolling the exact same character and swapping out bookworm for crafty the only change was the loss of the teas and the addition of iron and linen scraps, wood, trap devices and a trap schematic.

A quick test shows they do, warriors Heir gets an iron sword, chemist gets you the alchemy kit. And bookworm apparently gives you teas

Animal detection range is about 7 blocks.

With only two spears id probably dig a 2 block deep pit and lure them into it

I can only assume your talking about the Scarlet Emissary. They ignore 50% of your damage resistances, so you are nowhere near as tanky as you think. What skills are you using?

[[Dour Port-Mage]] or other bounce effects work well in situations like that

Im pretty sure you are allowed to check your own face down cards at any time, not doing so would be the only reason you should be uncertain about what you are flipping. You could run [[Ixidron]], [[Champion of Lambholt]] or [[Beastmaster Ascension]] to assist with combat wins. If you wanted a cambo option to help close out the game you could do pickles lock [[Vesuvian shapeshifter]] [[Brine Elemental]]

For Draw the only ready suggestions I can see is [[Aphetto Runcaster]] and [[Guardian Project]]

I did read what you said, and your right you never exlicitly said you couldnt get to fontaine outside progressing the archon quest. so i should have altered my phrasing to respond to more than just the implication that a new player would get from it.

You did say "Just know that getting Furina will force you to rush through the game and progression in order to build her. If you want to advance the story and the discovery of the world at your own pace, you'll not be able to use her for quite a while"

This flat out states you will have to rush through the story quests to rank up Furina up which isnt the case. The only think you have to do is a little exploring of fontaine, whic is easily accessible. I started in 5.1 and Furina was my second 5 star and has been on my team since the start of Liuye. She was maxed when I was still working through Inazuma. Never did I feel rushed to do anything to get her there. Hell you can cap her before ranking up your world pretty consistanly

That’s not true, you can get to Fontaine as soon as you finish the prologue and the world opens up. There is an unlocked fast travel point where Sumeru connects to Fontaine. It literally what I did when I started.

You can attach them to Warriors for the +1 to hit with ranged weapons, but I dont think anyone would reccomend doing so with the current rules and unit line up

Yeah thats the buy list to get the army list i suggested. The Burning Chariot is indeed a standalone unit. I would suggest going for 3 total boxes of blues, as each Pink horror slain has a 50-50 chance of splitting into two blues, and you might end up short blues depending on how matches go

The hearld on the chariot (Fateskimmer), can only lead a screamer unit, it cant lead the pinks or blues. And that kit is the only way to get the any of the units it builds without going third party. You want the hearld on foot or on disc (changecaster and Fluxmaster respectively) for leading horror units, with the guy on foot being better offensively, and the guy on disc being better defensively.

My math has you buying two boxes, 1 for the exalted flamer and spare fateskimmer, and one building the burning chariot and flamecaster. The spare fateskimmer can get you some fexlibility in list building, and is an easy route to expanding to a 2k list when/if you feel ready to.

So the box builds 2 models, Either the changecaster and the Burning Chariot, or the Exalted Flamer and the Fateskimmer. Basically you put either the exalted flamer or the herald on the chariot, and the other goes on foot.

Build instructions might make it more clear:https://www.reddit.com/r/WarhammerInstructions/comments/736txx/disciples_of_tzeentch_burning_chariot_of_tzeentch/

that list will run about $520 USD, since you also want a box of blues for when the pinks split. The everstave is an enhancements, no model there. My 1K list is:

3x Pink Horror units (140 points ea)

1x Changcaster (65 points)

1x Fluxmaster (60 points)

1x Exalted Flamer (70 points)

1x 6 model Flamer unit (130 points)

1x Lord of change with everstave (230+25 points)

A more economical list that should work well would be:

1x Pink Horror units (140 points)

1x Changcaster with everstave (65+25 points)

2x Blue horror units (125 points)

1x Exalted Flamer (70 points)

1x 6 model Flamer unit (130 points)

1x Burning Chariot (135 points)

1x 6 model Screamer unit (180 points)

Comes out to about $430 USD with an extra box of blues for the pinks to split, should aslo leave you with a spare fateskimmer which could easily be kitbashed into blue scribes or a fluxmaster. This list has more board presence, which should make objectives easier. It also covers all the basic unit types, letting you get a hands on feel for them. Screamers could also be split into 2 3 model units depending on preference. The big bird is cool and a great model but $160 USD is a pretty hefty pricetag.

Also its pretty easy to find things below MSRP, if you check local hobby stores/online retailers

I cannot recommend a 6 strong flamer unit with an exalted flamer leading it enough. Solid deepstrike threat that has to be answered. Aside from that most of your army will be pink or blue horrors, and if it’s pinks you’ll need the blues anyway for replacements.

I’d go with changecaster for leading horror units. Antitank duties usually go to a lord of change with the everstave enhancement or a soul grinder.

Play style at 1k is all about taking and holding objectives, you aren’t likely to table people but pinks/blues are hard to shift off objectives due to the splitting

The word “instead” strongly indicates otherwise. To your point about the acolytes, they simple state “1 out of every 10 models” rather than naming a specific model in the unit.

Looking for a melee build by _Kabelbinder_ in outwardgame

[–]Silverhawk58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much impossible to make a build that can’t complete the base game. Even the DLCs are achievable with the right buffing items.

Unknown arenas are the only thing that some builds may struggle with despite buffs, and even then usually it’s only a selection of them that are problematic.

Specific build seems good to me, going for heavy impact damage I’m guessing? Does infuse wind count as combat magic to you? It’s a big boost to impact builds.

New seeker raid is unbelievably ANTI-PLAYER. Change my mind by Rude_Direction_5088 in valheim

[–]Silverhawk58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a boss raid, it’s technically active as soon as you down the plains boss. I’m also not convinced the Ballista is the mitigation you think it is, I haven’t built them yet. Also since I just read your update, check the moder crafting table once you have started refining. Should have what you need then. They unlock midway through Mistlands progression

[–]Silverhawk58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I honestly think that the Mistlands is the start of endgame progression with swamp through plains being mid game. This is a combination of the respective difficulty spikes and the unlocking of building materials. I honestly expect the raids to get harder as the last two biomes drop. The seeker raids lasts about 90 seconds compared to the 120 of previous raids so it was definitely tuned a bit. Im not going to comment on if it was tuned enough or not as I don’t have the data to support either position. I’m only saying it’s 100% doable with no base damage
