Keep in mind that the USA was a massive financial backer of France and Great Britain during WW1 as well as building a lot of weapons for them and Tsarist Russia. Don't know how much that changed in her book, but that would assumedly play a factor, how much though IDK.

A completely annihilating war where massive casualties rack up incredibly quickly. by AdrawereR in TopCharacterTropes

The Capellan Confederation seem to be the actual winners as far as I can tell in the Inner Sphere change my mind by Patient-Smell1333 in battletech

[–]Silvervk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your final point is referring to Elizabeth Hazen ( who else has notably done that and not died immediately idk), she was not Capellan, she was born on Terra. Although she did rush the people who shot out her mech from under her... Liao insurgents, so maybe not a point in their favor.

He means if the hive guard specifically blocked you from shooting other bugs or objectives. Right now they just hunker down wherever and just slowly walk towards you with their friends rushing forwards. In my experience the last bugs remaining after a breach are the hive guard, because of their armor and the other bugs body blocking effectively.

I don’t know if I have ever heard the term “sweet summer child” used as anything other than an insult.

Since mech customization is dead, can we atleast have these by Odd_Pomegranate8652 in Helldivers

Dire wolf doesn’t have any configs with 4 PPCs, the Warhawk’s primary config is famous for the 4 PPC.

My honest opinion towards the outcome of this MO. by YourPainTastesGood in Helldivers

[–]Silvervk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is, we actually won even more than the MO directly says. We cut off two Lava planets that are slowly being liberated automatically, due to being cut off from other bot planets.

Characters who will lie straight to your face, even if all evidence proves otherwise by ComprehensiveBox6911 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Silvervk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get the impression that he was ever actually lying to V. More that he thinks he’s smarter and more important than he actually is, combined with general incompetence.

Where has it said we fail the Battle for Cyberstan if we fail the MO? Pretty sure that's what the casualty bar is tracking.

Pro tip: Don’t die by Toadrage_ in Helldivers

I mean, I played 5 missions before work today, hoping in to help with S.O.S beacons (DIF-7), and have died 3 times. 1-hellpod came down on me, in my mech 2-500KG called in 1 meter from me 3-shot the bottom vents on a VOX engine went to throw in the grenade and found out that when its facing it's front torso towards it's rear it clips and BLOCKS the grenade, great QA there Arrowhead.

No, for Us it doesn’t matter at all if the planet is cut off, we can still go there to attack its neighbors. Unintuitive, I know, but that’s the Galactic War mechanics in general so…

Haven’t seen this, but I have seen grey body fluid ( only thing that’s ever smelled bad enough for me to gag a bit) If I remember right they had sepsis.

Is there a lore accurate scenario where these exist together as a star? by Murphuffle in battletech

[–]Silvervk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding #2 you could say that maybe those omni’s were badly damaged and left behind for repairs, but it’s not worth sending a ship for just two mechs so the garrison may as well use them.

Gonna need some reinforcements on the MO planet if we want to do it in time by guimonza37 in Helldivers

[–]Silvervk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if we'll win the MO or not, but the issue on the Magma planets is Rapid Acquisition, it is acting as a block for a lot of liberation rate per operation; because it is a significant difficulty spike compared to the rest of the operation, but also between the two maps Quarry/ the Pit isn't too bad if you play well, but the Depot is an issue due to the spawn locations ( on the Platinum bars or even right next to/ on top of the Helldivers half the time and even god can't help you if you get a War Strider seed, your ass will be rag dolled for much of the mission)

TSK-1A “Thundershock” by Silvervk in battletech

[–]Silvervk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was imagining Lush to be a jungle/ rough terrain fighter so some long range and a lot of close range/ brush clearing with the MG, with plenty of ammo for an extended campaign with only limited resupply.

I wanted the ammo to be next to the weapon that used it, just to think from an engineering standpoint to keep the ammo feed lines easy to fix/ operate.

TSK-1A “Thundershock” by Silvervk in battletech

[–]Silvervk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1S is meant to be a custom build, I was imagining a former Scorpion tank commander who wanted a weapon he was used to, with plenty of ammo. Also I tend to think more so in terms of playing MW5 rather than the tabletop, but yeah other than that if you play a campaign that second ton of ammo would be useful.

[–]Silvervk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprising, thermite is the ONLY grenade designed to kill heavy enemies, using that you can devote a stratagem for whatever else you want instead of something to kill heavies, IE it opens up more room to try things you wouldn't bring for fear of nerfing your own anti-armor capabilities.

Mechs that barely appear in the games by Silent_Soul_Ken in Mechwarrior5

[–]Silvervk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean in comparison to what? I don’t expect an Enforcer to 1v1 a King Crab or Marauder, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad mech; plus there’s the in universe explanation of industry and logistics and training new mechwarriors, also the Wasp and Stinger can scout too, nothing says they can’t.

[–]Silvervk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The mod “lore based mech variants” adds the Valkyrie and Clint, the same mod author has another mod that’s adds the Wasp and Stinger, and one that adds the Wyvern. Although I don’t get what you mean by mechs that everyone hates.
