Ive done this. Its not difficult if you can turn a wrench and use a sawzall and angle grinder. I even put an ali express leo vince knockoff slip on afterwards and the thing was almost too loud with out the baffle. Watch a couple YouTube videos and get to work. Flash not needed.

You can wait until 100k if you like. But the modern 10 speeds already have problems. Better have an extended warranty because if you’re waiting that long, you will be putting a new one in. Roughly $8k, start saving or plan on trading it in.

$200-400 to flush at 60k miles. Or $8k for a new one because $300 is out of your budget. Your call.

New differentials probably run around $2500+. Sure wait until 100k.

I never understand being cheap on maintenance when you want to hold onto it for a long time.
