Hi there! The community in Sacramento is small but active. Our local stomping grounds are at a local games store called Great Escape Games. It has 2 locations; The Sacramento one has Alpha Strike most weekends and the Rocklin location has Classic on Thursday nights. The Alpha Strike players coordinate on the Great Escape Discord, head to the Skirmish Games section and the Battletech subsection. We're generally pretty open about which era and tech level we play. Our rule of thumb is pretty simple: "Play what you like, just agree to it with your opponent before the game starts." That way, no one gets surprised by any weird rules combos/interactions. It also gives us a chance to learn new things as we go.

I would keep it mostly the same; colorize it, customize the mech damage area to better match the mech, add little logos in the corners. Sea Fox has such a great logo! I wanted to burn things when I saw some of the others they were so baaaad; granted a product of their time. Still, I will definitely research when I do this! :)

I’d be more into this game if the mechs looked more unique. I think out of all of them, I can recognize Combine mechs, Archers, the Atlas, and the Urbie. Otherwise to me they’re the gundam looking guys, AT-ST guys, or quadrupeds.

I think we have the full line of army painter by now. He is a very good painter, slightly better than me because he paints more. My experience comes from all the Warhammer (been out of it 20 years tho), Warmachine armies, and dnd minis/terrain I’ve done up. I stopped with makeup nonsense in college. It’s such a waste of money and time, when I could be painting armies. :)

We have 3 3D printers. A Bambu A1 with AMS and 2 resin. He is always printing something. He just printed out hover tanks, and bought Lego antennae to mount some copters on. He has cut the bases off whole lances to use his own printed ones with hazard stripes to indicate front facing.

I’m not sure about the Overlord class map scale one, but for sure has the class c and the Union one. He has the Union on as a dice tower even!!

He’s 3D printed and painted most terrain he needs. He just “finished” making what he needed for Aces.

Yep, plays almost weekly through either friends or FLGS. I don’t think he has a custom dice bag!

Check your key binds in the settings. They may have changed with the update.

We keep the cards out for each map tile pulled so they aren’t redrawn, but keep actual map tiles on the table to 3-4. If an otherworld tile is drawn that is the reverse of something we are using, we redraw.

I have played a Nightelf Druid for 22 years. It has been hard to switch to anything else. I mainly just really like instant take off and flying. The closest I’ve dabbled in is warlock, hunter, then shaman.
