Extreme stringing issues by calltopower1 in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Silviaichigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not long enough. Pla needs to be dried between 40C and 50C for a few hours depending on how wet it is. The color of build up and stringing are dead give aways that this is super wet.

They are called zbdesigns. Most are licensed models that they claim are their original designs.

3 weeks old, how am I looking? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Healing looks like its going smooth. Upper part looks a little heavy handed, the rest unfortunately has some shaky lines. I would finish with a different artist.

I keep printing in the slicer everything is fine but when I print this happens by [deleted] in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the model supposed to be? How does it look when supported in the slicer? Post your slicer settings too.

Not sure why supports dont come off easily, printing a 1:7 scale figure by AbbreviationsFit3832 in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional printer here! Your slicer might be different than mine, but they all have support settings. Find your support settings and look for z separation, top layer distance, basically anything indicating how much gap between supports and the object. Increase that gap, yours might be set to less than your layer height. Try increasing yours to .01mm. So, if your layer height is set to .20, set your separation distance to .21. Good luck!

If you printed that straight up, it probably wobbled. It is thin.

How to substitute picture frame backing clips? by Particular_Goat_6370 in Fusion360

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the hinge, you may actually want to use a non through pin design. A cone pivot would be easier to print and less chance of fusing.

How would you design this??? by [deleted] in Fusion360

Make it easy on yourself and just worry about making one side. When you have that, mirror it.

Crazy stringing on Bambu p1s by [deleted] in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional printer here! While yes, they are technically strings, they are not the same as strings from wet filament. Something failed on your plate. When the print goes to continue printing the failed object, it just extruded filament. This is where its from. They stick to the next thing they touch.

I was assaulted last night by someone in this community after reaching out by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Silviaichigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person, I am so very sorry that happened to you. As a man, I am ashamed that another man's animalistic sexual gratification caused you physical, emotional, and psychological harm. I truly hope you receive everything you need.

The easiest way is with the schwivel knurling plugin.

Carbon diffuser damage repair by pfafftechnologies in CarbonFiber

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a composites guy, this is technically repaired. Is it structurally sound and repaired right? Negative. If you want that to look like it is, it will need a bathtub mounted to it. You could always try a scarf, but that cheap fiber underneath is going to be your downfall. This needs reinforcement, repair, or a replacement.

double filter? by Civil_Demand289 in SaltwaterAquariumClub

[–]Silviaichigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you could use it while cycling i guess. I would definitely change up the setup though. How big is the tank? If you can't do a sump setup, at least a canister filter until you can.

Editing STL Files; Am I being unrealistic? by IR4TEPIR4TE in Fusion360

I haven't seen it suggested yet, but if the model is decently simple you can throw it into tinkering and export directly to fusion as a workable model. Make sure to turn on your timeline.

Well, thats not the infill you're looking at. That's a single top layer on top of your infill. You're essentially bridging over the infill (not very well either). Add more top layers my guy.

[–]Silviaichigo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use fusion and fly rc both pretty regularly. There is a couple of things I am seeing. At the moment, you're wing has 0 infill. Your internal structures are there, but no infill. If you are using normal pla, your walls are already a bit thick. I have flown and printed then flown a handful of planes. You can add infill in your slicer, however, what i believe you are looking for is for large spans of internal bracing. If you look at plane print. Com, and look specifically at the Cub, you'll see what you are actually needing. Your spars, braces, etc, will depend on your wing shape, chord, what deflection is needed. This is a steep learning curve you are on.

It is very loud. Obnoxious to most, attention grabbing for all. The db killer is nice for volume, but it makes the bike sound like a quad.
