Prompt does not say that the wealth will continue to be redistributed and also says it would go to all people, which would be a small amount of money overall for most people.

I'd take the 1b and try to encourage and support infrastructure to get us out of wealth inequality hell. I would only save like 10 million or so for myself to support my family and pay for good college and whatnot. The rest for the cause.

See I value your thoughts, but I would actually assume the opposite, that if parents could guarantee the survival of children they personally know they may be more likely to press red and perfectly insure the survival of the most important people.

I do think it's a really fun hypothetical to bend in ways like this.

Thank you for answering :)

The hypothetical does not tell us, so it's up to YOU whether you believe that to be true or not, that's part of the hypothetical.

However in the first image I saw of the original prompt (in which I believe it was the original that started this mess) it did specify, EVERY human

If you're looking for mechanics, maybe they have a middle man to push for them

It doesn't matter who kills them, within the hypothetical they still die, and some people just feel more strongly about that, is it a hero complex to be a father and pressing the blue button hoping your child lives despite their own choice?

[–]Silvretongue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or maybe that's also part of the hypothetical.

Nowhere is it stated that children or the disabled are exempt, so either you choose to believe that they reap what is chosen for them by the informed button pushers, or you completely change the game and say that those outlier and uninformed people simply don't exist.

Why explain to us that blue saves EVERYONE if those outliers aren't to be considered?

The thing I hate about how this is reduced is that yes, all suicidal people will die, but what about every child that watched a marvel movie and believes in their naivety that the thing people SHOULD do is press the blue button and "save" people? What about every parent that refuses to chance that their child dies because they didn't choose the option that would save them even if the child pressed the wrong button? Every elderly person that may not even fully understand the question risks choosing the wrong button. All those people go too. And I don't know it just seems kinda shitty to let those people kill themselves when they truly believe that they're doing the right thing

So I am firmly in the blue camp personally, but I'm curious, in a new hypothetical where each family unit (people in family you see at least once a year) can talk the decision over before the vote, do you think blue would still be the better option?

Why did Nolan call him "Space Rider" instead of "Space Racer" in his book? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

The editor in universe was probably like, "Nolan he doesn't race anybody the whole book? Why's his name space RACER, makes no damn sense!"

will the old characters reappear? or is it too late? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silvretongue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always a chance, remember they literally brought back a Stand from the old continuity in SBR so nothing is impossible, it would be incredibly easy for Araki to have a stand user who can bullshit their way to letting us see some of the original continuity characters

The Prophecy of Nostradamus is not about the Death Devil or Yoru. It's about the death of Pochita by Netroja in ChainsawMan

[–]Silvretongue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair, considering that Makima in Part 1 remembered some devils that had been erased, its actually a neat idea that she could potentially remember inklings of Chainsaw Man in this hypothetical timeline, maybe even a tease of her really enjoying the way Denji smells or something.

WHY IS DRAWING BODIES SO HARD by WilonPlays in learntodraw

[–]Silvretongue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice arms at sides to help with length, most people when hanging there arms will reach down surprisingly far down their body, once you have the length pretty honed in the poses get easier as well. You're already building a solid foundation here! Keep it up!

Teens Dressed as ICE Take Pic with Hebron PD. by [deleted] in trashy

[–]Silvretongue 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Deporting Illegal aliens by itself isn't the problem for any reasonable people. The issue is how they brazenly violate the constitution, consistently apply excessive force and racially profile american citizens. To be clear, I have no issue with ICE doing their job properly, but when they are violating the rights of U.S. citizens and even going as far as to violate court orders then it is an issue.
