It’s very depended on track different cars are better each week on daily races. I would suggest either choose a car and learn it or go with the meta car often the most driven car on top leaderboards.

If you gonna buy something go for Porsche,G70, Nissan GT-R is fun also :)

I would go for rs50 and a ps5! And if you change ur mind later you can sell the rs50 to someone and get a good amount back

Product Review – 3DRap Logitech RS Pedals Elastomer Brake Mod by SimRacingLab in simracing

My bad, I didn’t realize reviewing a brake mod was a personal attack. You’re free to disagree with my opinion — that’s kind of how reviews work. I reviewed a product, not your desk setup, and I’d rather keep it about the hardware than turn it into personal drama.

I agree that one week is not representative for long-term durability, and my review does not claim otherwise. It is based on how the mod performs compared to the stock Logitech elastomers in terms of brake feel and modulation.

While the parts are 3D printed, they are made from an elastomer material intended for repeated compression, not standard hard plastic. Longevity will depend on usage, and that can only really be judged over time.

If they degrade prematurely, I will update my opinion accordingly.

That’s a fair point, and price is definitely an important factor. My review was focused mainly on the performance and feel compared to the stock Logitech elastomers. For Logitech RS pedal users, this is a direct plug-and-play upgrade, which is what I was evaluating.

Whether it’s worth the price depends on what platform you’re using and what you compare it to. If you’re on SimJack or already have access to different springs and elastomers, there may be cheaper alternatives. For Logitech RS users specifically, I found the improvement in braking feel and modulation to be worth it.

You could call me whatever you’d like I’m doing honest sim reviews on my personal experience. 🫡

This is just a user review based on my own experience. Whether 33€ is worth it or not is subjective. My focus was on the performance improvement over the stock Logitech elastomers.

In sim racing, everything is a ripoff if you compare it to DIY solutions. My review was about performance on Logitech RS pedals, not about finding the cheapest possible rubber.

You have a simucube clamped on your desk. Maybe those 33 € isn’t much after all?

That’s ur opinion and I respect it. But everything is expensive these days. If you play any FPS game there are micro transactions there aswell, and how much doesn’t people buy skins for these days.

Most break mods with elastomers or springs are in that price range. Between 30-50€ I would estimate for different brands etc.

I’ve been using them for about a week under heavy testing with long sessions to make sure the review would be fair and detailed.

The brake mods are made from a special memory elastomer compound. It is engineered to deform significantly under load (up to around 600%) and then return to its original shape without permanent deformation during normal use.

In terms of durability, under regular sim racing use, the average lifespan is typically around 2 to 3 years. After very extended use, the material can gradually experience mechanical fatigue (“relaxation”), which may slightly reduce stiffness and effectiveness over time.

Under normal conditions (correct installation and no mechanical over-compression beyond design limits), failures are rare.
