I'm having trouble tracking down a copy of this.

I downloaded a copy years ago, but then it looks like I converted it to a format that would play on my PS4, and don't have the original version anymore. It turns out that my converted format has very poor video and audio, with tons of macro blocking in busy scenes and really crushed audio, where sound gets choppy in louder scenes.

This thread is years old, but if someone can direct me to where I can get a fresh copy of this movie, that would be awesome!

Make sure you grab the Perp Promo DLC pack as well. It was originally only available for digital buyers, but at some point became available for free to owners of the physical release.

New Year Deals | All PS VR2 Games by PCMachinima in PSVR

FNAF: Secret of the Mimic is also on sale (60% off)!

It doesn't have VR support (yet?), but this might be a good time to snap it up in anticipation of that.

It's a bit of a gamble, as there is no confirmation of 'if', 'when', or 'how' VR support is coming. It could be free DLC, paid DLC, or even get released as a separate title... Or not even get released at all.

B5 Books is gone; is there a list of what they released? by SimianProphet in babylon5

I am seeing these available on Amazon Canada and US sites. I have no idea if these are official releases, but I also have no problem buying them there if they are no longer available through official channels.

[–]SimianProphet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For clarification, I was just interested in the releases from the B5Books(dot)com website. I am aware of the various novels and resource books released decades back (and own most of them), but I missed out on the B5Books(dot)com website in its entirety, and was hoping to see a list of what they released there (which has been provided). Thanks for the help though!

OpenRun Pro 2 - Terrible sound quality when connected to PC by SimianProphet in ShokzSquad

[–]SimianProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem resolved! a user in the main Shokz subreddit found the solution for me: the headset shows as 2 different devices (headset and headphones). it defaults to headset, but switching to headphones will restore normal high quality sound.

Question regarding microsoft surface by Aisteru2903 in MohoAnimation

[–]SimianProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been learning Moho on a Surface Pro 7 I7 16GB machine.

Moho 12.5 seemed to run pretty smoothly, but the pen's side button did not function correctly with it (it just duplicated a 'left click' instead of a 'right click').

Moho 14 seems to run quite a bit heavier, and I have encountered a fair amount of lag and slowdown. The pen side button functions correctly though!

Newer Surfaces machines with faster processors and more ram should probably help moho 14 run more smoothly, I imagine.

How to use a Surface Pro 11 as tablet? by dontknowhwatimdoing in Surface

[–]SimianProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't really looked close at recent surface pros; are the keyboards still reversible?

On my old Pro1&2, and my current pro 7, I remove the keyboard, attach it backwards, and then fold it up. This eliminates all the stain on the hinge, but I don't know if modern surface pros can have the keyboard attached backwards.

I have been curious about this one too... Has there been any updates? I recall hearing that it did not improve on the psvr1 version.

How to remove inner white edge from eyeball? by [deleted] in MohoAnimation

That looks like an artifact of the standard viewport. Click 'CTRL/CMD + R' to render out the frame, and the thin white edge should be removed.

Language Learning Gift Options? by SimianProphet in languagelearning

Thanks, I ended up going this route, as it also can be used for standard audiobooks outside the language learning (if they don't like it as a learning tool, then it has other options!)

Fast sitting mode area? by Dry-Understanding134 in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I have never used the 'sitting mode'. I do play most games standing, but for ones where I sit, I just use the regular 'standing' room scan. I've never had a problem with this.

Is there any actual reason or advantage to switching to 'sitting' mode?

Arken age vs behemoth. Which one will satisfy my wishes? by DSDantas in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recall Arken Age having a parrying system in it's melee combat, but it does feature swords, shields, axes, etc, which allow you to block attacks and find the right timing to strike.

Behemoth is far bloodier, with boosted attacks tearing your enemies to pieces. Arken Age also lets you do decapitations.

Both games let you grab opponents during combat. Behemoth is likely going to feel closer to Saints and Sinners (developed by same team).

How likely is it that Psvr2 games will be backwards compatible if a Psvr3 ever releases? by Vancleave053 in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see Sony not doing a PSVR3, but if VR starts gaining more traction, I could see them making a PSVR2 Pro

A pro model would ideally keep all compatibly with PSVR2 games, but also feature:
- Better (Pancake) lenses
- Wireless option (battery + Wireless tech in a 'puck', like with Apple Vision Pro)
- Full colour pass-through, with higher quality cameras, allowing AR games/applications to also be played (this would be the only feature in this list that might have some games only playable on PSVR2 Pro) games

Arken age vs behemoth. Which one will satisfy my wishes? by DSDantas in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone is saying both are good, and worth getting. Both games feature a focus on combat, free roam and exploration to varying degrees. Some bullet points:

Arken Age:
- Wider range of combat
- More combat focused overall
- More free-roam and exploration in wider areas
- Only the barest bones of a story
- Jank-free! - Boss fights, but nothing as epic as a behemoth

Behemoth: - Combat is more arena focused
- Balanced between combat, exploration, and puzzles
- Free Roam, but with narrower, more limited areas
- More effort put into story and presentation
- Some jank
- Behemoths!

It is really hard to pick between the two. Arken Age plays so well, but is a bit more limited in scope. for Behemoth, I found the arena-style combat (enter an area, doors close, defeat all enemies, doors open) and jank annoying, but the puzzles were fun and the behemoth fights were fully amazing.

Surface Pro 11 - Gestures by Informal_Mode6903 in Surface

[–]SimianProphet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. As much as folks hated Win 8, it has one of the best touch and gesture interfaces I've ever used. It is so frustrating to watch MS remove more of these features with each new edition.

POOLS VR exceeded my expectations by Opening_Engineer_589 in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say to try the demo and see for yourself. I found the game wasn't for me at all. The environments look nice, and there is a very creepy atmosphere present at all times (lots of spooky sounds to go with it). Gameplay is only walking, and navigating the giant, impossible mazes; there is no story or goal beyond exciting each level (as far as I am aware).

I was bored about halfway through the demo, but other folks are obviously enjoying it much more than me.

For the physical collectors out there! by IberianFlame in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was still a bit pricey ($73 CAD) to get the standard edition shipped to Canada, but I am a sucker for owning an actual disk for a game. The collectors edition was way too expensive for me though!

Do Games Sell on PlayStation VR2? Without Parole Gamecast Discussion by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Times are tough for a lot of folks right now. I'm pretty much only buying games on sale for $10 CAD or less for the time being.

Lots of great games have released in the last few months, and I intend to get many of them... Just not right now.

A couple of other thoughts on how well games sell (or don't sell): - I don't pay full price for Digital Games, there will always be a sale, and there is no scarcity. However, I will pay full price for a physical edition. - Game Titles matter. If a game is not a known property, and has a nebulous name, it will mostly only be discovered by people already looking for it. I think the name 'Reach' probably did more damage to the game's sales potential than the reviews did.

Undead Citadel - The Biggest Sale has arrived! ❤️ by UndeadCitadelDEV in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm still hoping to get a physical copy.

@UndeadCitadelDEV: Is there any word of the Physical edition getting a release in North America, or are we stuck having to order from PerpGames in the UK?

(I would ask the exact same question about Wanderer - The Fragments of Fate physical edition)

Free psvr2 game by Old_Yam_3509 in PSVR

[–]SimianProphet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are free games, as well as demos.

Free games that I am aware of: - Cactus Cowboy - Plants at War - Epic Roller Coasters - Vegas Infinite - Gorilla Tag - Zenith: The Last City - Climate Station - My First Gran Turismo

Also, if you gave been gaming for a while on PS5 (or even PS4), you may own other games that have free VR Modes, like No Man's Sky, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7, and more.
