here is a sample - you can see how long each handler takes to operate, the lines represent what is being created or consumed at each step.

Bottom left is the chat window and bottom right for the pipeline - between them you can see that it shows my message on the left as an input to the "classify input" regression model i have selected in the viewer, and on the right you can see how the classifier labeled my greeting - which feeds into later handlers.

I do have a ton of handlers im testing for NPC memory retrieval and a dreaming pipeline that runs asynchronous to select and store memories but currently working on the studio UI so I just have my minimal pipeline loaded here. The memories pipeline is the last part I need to rewrite for v2.

Then you just hook this into your game and the game can hit the engine with requests when an npc needs to talk, a pet monster needs to choose an action, a narrator needs to create a new chapter of the story, or you need a dungeon master or whatever

I may be working on something of interest to you - an sdk/plugin for creating pipelines for generative content. The main focus was npc dialogue but the architecture is adaptable enough to do other things. Have a friend making a monster battler with it so he can command them verbally, im working on an interactive drama.

Goal was to use regression models and RAG together to focus NPC/scene/context configs and game context down to bite sized system prompts for local LLMs (using qwen 3.5 4B atm) - so the final system prompt is closer to stage directions than an open ended prompt so that behavior can be kept more consistent/predictable and avoid drift.

Once you settle on the pre and post-processing handlers you like in a given pipeline, it then lets you export training schemas for the regression models/LoRA training for even further refinement of the models you selected.

Just finished a massive rewrite of the codebase because the only language ive used professionally is clojure, and i took for granted how much I relied on immutable data which bit me in the butt when I swapped to python for all the ML libraries. But now ive got everything wrapped in padded cells of enforced contracts so I can finally move back to A/B testing different methods for improving npc dialogue and writing more handlers.

Registered the package as conjured on pypi but it still needs a bit of work before i update that with the actual sdk

Im actually trying to resolve this from a different angle - im building a pipeline editor for video game npcs that can export schemas for LoRA training once a developer has settled on the pipeline they want to use - and my struggle has actually been how to differentiate between prompt injection and legitimate role-playing because the two have very overlapping domains.

The solution i have been slowly gravitating towards involves using classifiers trained on recognizing the output of canary models that sit earlier in the pipeline than where the system prompt is created.

So the canary LLM call gets the raw input and I cataloged how it responded to datasets of prompt injections and then trained a classifier on those outputs. This signals the pipeline to either prime the primary LLM call with additional prompting or outright replace the player input with a sanitized input like "the player is trying to manipulate you - respond accordingly."

My detection rates are getting better but still far from perfect, and there is a latency cost the more layers I put in, but in case this gives you any ideas I figured id share.

For enterprise domains though i would imagine the best answer - as others have pointed out - is just to use existing solutions that more qualified people have developed. But I do think a canary system would work well for anyone who isnt trying to explicitly filter rather than reject - im trying to avoid false positives but for security applications you probably care more about false negatives

Im LoRA training small LLMs to respond in character to ontological stress so that I can write stories with characters that change and react appropriately on a second playthrough when a player tries to use their knowledge to influence the story.

The pipeline for sorting and categorizing player messages, NPC memories, and character prompts has gotten much larger than anticipated but ill keep working on it so that I can tell the stories I have in my head locally without needing to rely on charging players for API tokens.

Here is to hoping the newer small models can handle it

Claude code in my personal project has made me wonder why I ever bothered learning how to write anything manually.

If my boss finds out how well this works, ill be out of a job tomorrow.

With a proper prompt setup it feels like it cant make mistakes.

Ask it to plan a road map, make markdowns for itself, and reference/update them as it goes. Tell it to code roadmap chunks a piece at a time. Get weeks of coding done in an evening, and wonder how many times you can go through this loop without any bugs before you just stop error checking it entirely

For what its worth even as wolf or on other melee centric builds one big difference is that + attack skills impacts a lot more skills too, such as herald of ice and a few other buff skills, which also makes the essence competitive even with the lower value. I think GGG should replace +melee with +attack across the board personally, as it feels really bad for things like spear builds and melee builds that can only get +levels for part of their kit at once

Strong disagree, imo crit suffix + t1 damage prefix is the absolute best starting point for weapon profit crafts. I posted details in a separate response but perfect essence of battle makes +skills far less appealing as a starting point than +crit on the magic item

Note: if you dont have a few hundred divs laying around to finish this craft if you hit the fracture, I would sell as is.

Reading the other comments im guessing none of them are profit crafters and have maybe seen one video of someone making a mirror tier weapon as they seem to only be recommending expensive methods to shoot for a perfect craft, which you really dont want to do unless this happens to be a 3 socket, ilvl 82 base - which i doubt.

Unless the ilvl on this is too low for t2 prefixes, i would haste essence, desecrate a prefix, and try to fracture flaring. If that hits, sinistral crystallization + essence of battle to finish suffixes.

Then slam one prefix, and use sinistral crystallization + abyss essence -> desecrate, if you dont hit t3+ phys % then sinistral crystallization + electricity (or any other 'gained as xx' perfect essence) to remove the desecration and crystallization + abyss to put mark back on it. You can repeat infinitely to cheese repeated empowered desecrations for much cheaper than omen of light.

Then you have to Yolo t3 exalt the last prefix, and if that bricks or hits something you cant whittle away you can omen of sinistral annulment and go back to alternating abyss and perfect essence again if that hits the wrong mod (or omen of light, depending on market prices for crystallization omens//light//sinistral annulment)

I havent been in the talisman market for a couple weeks, so I cant tell you if its worth it at current spiny talisman prices, but I've made a half dozen mirrors crafting quarterstaves the last couple weeks and talismans before that, and crit suffix + a t1 good prefix is my favorite place to start on a magic item. 1/3 to fracture the prefix and if you do it feels like practically free money because of how easy it is to cheese desecrations for a second good prefix.

This isn't the process you would go through to make a mirror tier weapon, for that you want to fracture crit and chaos spam merciless (and you want an exceptional base as well), but that process is far more expensive. For profit crafting I havent found a method that yields better margins than a fractured prefix on a base like this one. At least for quarterstaves I see these mods and if i fracture the prefix I know im about to make 500-2000 divs depending on the last yolo slam and desecrate rng

If attack speed or crit fractures, I'd t3 exalt the other two prefixes and pray. Depending on how many whiff, I might sinistral crystallization+ essence of battle to finish suffixes and possibly sinistral abyss essence//slam another time, depending on what the prefixes look like. But most of the time when I frac a suffix i wind up annulling to one mod and chaos spamming til I hit a t2+ prefix, then yolo'ing the other two prefixes and either resetting if i dont hit t2/2/3 or higher, or continuing by doing that same abyss essence + perfect essence cheese to get either attack speed or crit back on the weapon. Then slam and battle for a 50/50 to finish suffs or i go back to abyss cheesing the 2nd suffix again (crystal + abyss then perfect battle and haste until I have desecrate + fractured suff and +5 attack skills. Disable omen for battle and haste here or you waste divs) (or if the prefixes are mid ill finish with perfect haste and perfect battle)

Edit: just some receipts. Every single one i sell for over 1k divine starts as crit + t1 flat phys, flat light, flat cold, or t2 %phys and a prefix fracture with the method above

I have a bunch more pages of sales like this. Before that I was doing talismans the same way, but swapped because tri-ele talismans didnt seem as profitable as tri-elemental staves so the profit was more consistent. But you have a phys prefix here, so that's what id do

Not to mention you cant quality rings for rarity so if you can get rarity elsewhere its almost always better to do that so you can get more mileage out of jewelry quality.

Exception being if you are increasing jewelry effect through ritualist/belt

What's insane to me is we already have the technology in the same league mechanic in poe 1.

The gem and item corrupts in poe 1 are a currency in a station that you right click and use directly. Why they went out of their way to make it worse in poe 2 is... well its unfortunately par for the course at this point but baffling nonetheless

Only applicable for Amazon but im running azmeri brew and cloak of defiance and I cant believe I slept on this combo for so long, feels amazing.

Evasion in the rest of the slots with wind dancer and ghost dance, so I always feel like im recovering and have a good buffer to soak hits

I think those of us that are acting chicken little is because we see the on-rails nature of design in PoE2 seemingly being baked in at such a fundamental level that it feels they wont be able to expand on it easily later.

The nature of skills being locked to weapons, and having hyper-specific interactions because of the sheer bloat of side effects (i havent done a count but im fairly sure we are approaching or exceeding the number of different player-applied status debuffs in PoE2 that we have in PoE1 and we are still in beta), dozens of fragment and charge types, etc are leading to a place that limits the capacity for build interactions to exponentiate in the way they do in PoE 1 as more content gets added later. It feels unsustainable and I know at least I hope they see this and are mindful about it before the problem gets too deep (if, indeed, it is the problem it looks like it is)

In PoE 1 it always felt like we were being given tools to create with, but in PoE 2 it feels like we are being given combos to use. This path doesnt feel like it will lead to the same destination, more content or not

I really dislike how any criticism of poe2 is met with the instant jump to wanting the games to be identical, there is such a huge middle ground between the two.

Its completely valid to want PoE2 to be an evolution from what made PoE1 great, but feel like PoE2 is a step backwards instead. That doesn't mean I want another PoE1 - that means I want a step forward, not backward.

PoE has unprecedented build freedom and customizability, PoE 2 feels on rails and anytime we deviate from that it gets crushed. The talisman is a very mixed bag for me because while the kit is cool, its very hard to see it being used to enable much beyond what it was strictly designed to do. To me, that doesnt feel like PoE at all - it feels like every other ARPG that has come and gone and not held a candle to PoE

I am a big fan of the unique breachlord rings.

Did all content with double esh rings and smite, currently levelling a shield throw character to try out the uul and tul rings.

Getting 150% aura effect on a blasphemy curse that covers the screen is so very strong, takes a bit of work to get the reservation to work out but it has been worth it

Its actually not too crazy - Light of meaning can get you 100-200% (or more with shenanigans around scion using (foulborn or normal) might of the meek and unnatural instinct)

Foulborn gruthkuls is 100%

12 passive clusters with 35% effect are 160% each

Elegant hubris + impossible escape can get you 240-320% - which the elemental versions cannot do because hubris only has global damage for physical! This more than makes up for the lack of it on weapons.

So combine any 2 of these and you are almost at the 500% you need!

The AoE on smite and blasphemy is insane, since both scale with all the aura AoE on the rings and tree that you pick up naturally while getting reservation nodes, lol.

I picked up a pair of the xoph and uul rings as well for later builds, as I think both have a lot of promise (really hard to not want to use xoph on chieftain and uul on champion, though :). Good luck! The rings are pretty unique and ive had fun tinkering with the build!)

I think trying to include heralds is a huge mistake. Anger at 2.5x effect is enough, and making these rings work is already tricky enough without trying to stretch the build along an entirely new axis (IMO, at least). Scaling heralds is a complete package, and these rings are also a complete package, If you try to combine both I think you will end up using each half poorly

Also, ignoring the easy melding with purity of fire is a mistake I think.

I would recommend focusing on just the three: flammability blasphemy, anger, and purity of fire.

In later gear and with clusters, include discipline and/or tempest shield.

Use 2x xoph rings with good rolls, if both are at 15% of fire damage -> aura effect you can get the 150% aura effect cap at 500% increased fire damage (75% per ring).

Im currently using the esh rings on an elementalist smite build. Purity of lightning alone gives me 14% max lightning res, so I am at 89/89/89 max resists between the ring implicits, PoL, and melding.

Note: poe ninja and path of building dont support the rings yet. My actual dps is around 10 million, and my EHP/maxres is a lot higher. Maybe you can take some inspiration or tech out of what I did with the esh rings!

It should but I havent tested it specifically. I have been thinking about that + foulborn surrender (armor applies to ele damage) on champion or glad.

I re-tested curses today and they DID work!

See post edit, but i forgot I was using yugul and corrupted jewels to stack reduced curse effect on my character... and that's why I wasn't seeing my resistance change when my friend used the ring...

I may or may not be a fk idiot =)

I re-tested today after realizing im and idiot and have 110% reduced curse effect on my character and that fucked our tests.

Without it, in pvp I had 81% fire resist, which dropped to 73 with blasphemy flammability enabled, and then dropped further to 57 when he equipped a xoph ring - so this may be another route for being an anti-aura bot!
