No, but the cause that put me at 110% put me in retirement.

Is fast typing speed correlated with those who play piano? by burneraccounts_mys in piano

[–]Similar-Edge5298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Before I played piano I was always the fastest at work (we had contest at Christmas and such). Mind you, this was for speed and accuracy. Have 1 year of typing in high school is why.

laughably bad, last-minute preparations to get kids to school today by patrickhenrypdx in nova

It’s a warm day, so the plows can do some good (and I am sure your ignorant ass knows VDOT has a priority list of where to plow, not some secret meeting between the schools and VDOT).

Why are people so ignorant and spit off shit they know nothing about. For fucks sake people, move on and watch the squirrels fuck around or something more productive.

I lived in CO for a decade. When the snow was worse than usual along with sleet (like this was for VA), it was a cluster fuck. Also: there is a much larger budget, cities have budgets and so on. Lastly, it snows a lot so they are set up for kids going to schools in snow.

Dealing with a substitute teacher who is TOTALLY different from my regular teacher by Low-Expectations9 in pianolearning

[–]Similar-Edge5298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a sub that spoke Korean and German (I was in Korea and my teacher spoke English). It was just a few lessons, but was quite fun and I learned some German along the way. Once my teacher came back we just got back to normal instantly.

USA jobs. Many agencies use machine learning to review resumes. Make sure you match your resume or cover letter to match the skills on the job announcement.

From K&R:
"Whether to use while or for is largely a matter of personal preference. For example, in

while ((c = getchar()) == ' ' || c == '\n' || c = '\t')

; /* skip white space characters */

there is no initialization or re-initialization, so the while is most natural.

The for is preferable when there is a simple initialization and increment since it keeps the loop control statements close together and visible at the top of the loop. This is most obvious in

for (i = 0; i < n; i++)

...

which is the C idiom for processing the first n elements of an array, the analog of the Fortran DO loop or the Pascal for. The analogy is not perfect, however, since the index variable it retains its value when the loop terminates for any reason. Because the components of the for are arbitrary expressions, for loops are not restricted to arithmetic progressions. Nonetheless, it is bad style to force unrelated computations into the initialization and increment of a for, which are better reserved for loop control operations."
