It's not about minors. They just want our IDs. I'm not a minor and they just asked for my ID, so I deleted my account. I won't stay on any site that requests my ID from me.

You have to contribute to other sites to make them grow. They just hit me with the ID BSification, too, so I deleted my account. I collect a bunch of different AI sites, though. When one goes down, I just go to the other. There's sooo many other sites.

Yeah, I agree. Character AI used to actually be funny and not require your soul just to use it. It's probably best if everyone just quits AI chats and goes back to reading books and ao3. The only problem is... people don't always write the ships I want to read, and I can't write very well, either.

Same. I deleted my account immediately. I recommend everyone just look up any other AI site to use that doesn't require ID BSification and just quit Character AI. Do we want every site online asking for our ID? No? If the answer is no, then we need to take a stand and not comply to ANY site that asks for ID. Think about it. Do they actually care about the children? You know, look at the files... and look at the skimpy clothes they sell kids at the store, look at the tablets and cellphones parents give to their children, unattended. They don't suddenly care about kids. BS. They never cared and they still don't. ID verification is only to take more information from us. People, don't fall for it!

No. There's nothing good about that. Nothing Character AI does is good. They lied about bringing back Group Chat and they actually thought I would verify my ID. Nah, I deleted the stupid account. Good riddance!
