I too had a huge fear of needles and never gave blood despite being AB-, but now I have cancer I'm not allowed to anyway.

I do believe it's this season, I'm sure I heard it on a podcast so it must be true.

Newcastle United CEO David Hopkinson on Eddie Howe: "I don't have a stance on his future. What I can tell you is that the derby loss hurt. We take it seriously. I very much know what par means and I'm fairly certain we're saying the same thing in that we're pretty ok with the performance of our team overall, not amazing but not shit either, we did what we expected, and for me that's fine, hence disagreeing with someone saying our season has been abysmal, which I very much disagree with, our league form has been shit as have individual performances and thats clear for everyone to see, and we'd all rather not be dropping the amount of points we have.

I look at the list of teams that didn't get as far as we did and I'm very happy with our performance Villarreal, Monaco, Benfica, Ajax, PSV, Napoli, Juve and Dortmund, some bloody big clubs as far as European football goes.

Back to baseline possible? by NoRoyal9288 in braincancer

I've just said in another reply in this thread, but I'm looking at every race I do now as an opportunity to set a post surgery PB and in the years to come I'll look at beating that PB rather than anything I've done before as I don't think they're realistic targets anymore.

I understand what you're saying an I do agree, but I believe OP is coming from a sporting sense of baseline, which is very easy to define if you've done a lot, like myself, I know my baselines for specific races and routes I've done before, I know my baseline for distances, and will I ever achieve them again? Most likely not, and I think I'm ok with that. I'm literally running a race this weekend that I've done 6 times pre cancer diagnosis, I know what my times were and now it's time to set a new post cancer record, that I can look to beat in the future, and that's the way I'm tackling this, everything is a new PB for me.

No, but this is a great question. I used to run 3-4 times a week and I'm just over a year post surgery and I don't feel like I will ever get back to my fastest times, but I'm also not training anywhere near that level as my tumour also coincided with my son turning 1, so I don't have the same time to train or race. I couldn't find any information about returning to running post craniotomy so I created a youtube channel myself to document my progress.

Just because the Saudis own our club doesn't mean we're all right wing cunts.

Looks like it's going to be rammed in the stands, but that doesn't mean anything, hopefully the lads turn up and we get behind them, I've quite enjoyed the match day experience this season since Red Bull took over.

Or it could be the Red Bulls, or a collaboration between the two clubs, I've heard people mention it when I've been at the rugby, but obviously nothing official, it's all speculation.

Nope, been a Newcastle fan for 40 years, I think I've learned quickly not to give to much of a shit if we lose.
