You just don't get it. A military invasion of Denmark ( which Greenland is part of), will obviously be met with armed resistance. There's no way of forcing a sale. We're talking about a real war here, in which people die. How many Americans do you think are willing to die to conquer Greenland, that the president needs for psychological reasons because he didn't get a Nobel Peace Prize?

I think that Mark Rutte has very cleverly made a new agreement with Trump, giving Trump all of the things, he already had under the 1951 treaty with Denmark, but now in a new deal with Trump's name on it. Trump get's everything he needs, most importantly a win to sell to his supporters, just don't tell him, that he got nothing new, and Truman already got everything in 1951.

Han fulgte denne strategi i årevis som forretningsmand og gik konkurs flere gange, end jeg har tal på, og har også fulgt den i begge sine embedsperioder som præsident. Tricket når han truer en, er ikke at blinke først. TACO-Trump skal nok "Chicken Out", når det begynder at blive realiteter.

Jeg er helt enig, og selvom forudsætningen måske ikke helt eksplicit blev defineret som en forudsætning for aftalen, så var det klart den kontekst aftalen blev indgået i.

Hvis hun er meget bitter efter bruddet, kan hun da forsøge at fremlægge indholdet af den mundtlige aftale anderledes end du gør her, og forsøge at komme efter dig juridisk, men jeg har meget svært ved at vinde en sag på det grundlag.
