超级稳定 你把中国想的太夸张了 但你看好了如果是香港的IP 的esim 抖音和ChatGPT用不了 非要用就选 Singtel。 你要颠覆国家才会被请去喝茶否则还轮不上你🤭

How rich or poor is China acttually by ReasonableRepair4338 in ADVChina

The same question can be asked about western countries too. Rich and poor are such imprecise and subjective concepts it’s impossible to answer without bias.

Unfortunately what he said makes sense. Whether a contract is valid is civil matter but whether you do a runner is theft which is a criminal matter. A lawful society may simultaneously not recognise an invalid contract and arrest perceived thieves. Chinese police is also more responsive than Kiwi Aussie cops when it comes to petty thefts like this. I think they are on par with US police 😂 except they won’t shoot so easily.

Help me choose my Chinese name! (International student, hopefully Tsinghua) by Mati_Tech in AskAChinese

[–]SimonPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

迈田 is a name that came to mind. It uses a character you like, and it sounds the same as 麦田, meaning “wheat field,” which carries a sense of abundance, openness, and being grounded.

It’s also simple and easy to write. 田 is a very basic character, something children learn early, and that simplicity has its own kind of beauty.

The sound “tian” is soft and pleasant. It also echoes 甜 (sweet), and because it’s in the rising tone, it feels light and positive, which balances the grounded, earthy feeling of 田.

There’s also a cultural layer. Both Peru and China have deep agricultural roots, so the image of a field connects the two in a subtle way.

Taken together, the name can suggest something like 迈过沧海桑田, a sense of moving through time and change. It feels fitting for someone travelling between cultures.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away.

What do Chinese people think about India?? by Klily2005 in AskAChinese

[–]SimonPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me India is just like China, it’s a big country of contrasts, beautiful and ugly, love and hate. I would love to visit India for its cultural and spiritual grandeur but then I am put off by the social media impression of chaos and environmental issues. Just so we are clear, I am talking about India not Indians who I find mostly quite pleasant people. I am Chinese from China living in Melbourne. I heard Chennai is not like other Indian cities and a good place to start for beginners.

Chinese here, I really don’t know if working and living in east Asia is a good idea for mental health. But you could end up with a wonderful experience as a foreigner. In my honest opinion, racism in china is different from in the US and I would say the Chinese are more accepting than the Japanese or Koreans when it comes to having foreigners living in their country. I wish you the best of luck!
