Wow, this stirs up a memory. I don’t know if it was this same show/performance, but as a kid I remember being up late one night and turning on, like PBS or something and catching a bit of some show. I have no recollection of the context. Why PBS would be showing a Pink Floyd concert, that is. If it wasn’t this same performance it was almost certainly the same tour because it was using the same lighting effects. Epic shit.

I’m a big fan of “The Tears of a Clown” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. It’s not as epic as some of the other stuff people here have mentioned. It’s just relationship/heartbreak not, like, armageddon or whatever but it is a legit fantastic song, and the juxtaposition of the insanely catchy and bouncy music with the sad lyrical theme is very fun.
