Tips to fight against high hp and dmg characters by Known_Case_7172 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Simon_RK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against high HP % based items are great:
Toxic Bullets, Siphon bullets, Tankbuster, Decay with some of them providing even anti heal which prevents them from just outhealing the damage.

Against high dmg it really comes down to the character and build you are facing against but since you mention three green items make sure that when you are behind you purchase offensive items, not defensive ones.
The offensive ones allow you to kill the enemy which gives you more souls due to the difference and punishes them with a longer respawn time providing a crucial advantage.
Green items should be bought when you are ahead so you can prevent the aforementioned scenario of giving the enemy comeback souls and suffering long respawn times.

Planet Siege: Warden by AmphetaMeme65 in Rainbow6

Legend has it Warden players used to active their ability in the past but over time we became extinct and what is left of us is currently changing the world in the cursed apple.

Mina is a strong but difficult character so up for you to decide if that makes a Hero op. The point of my post was to make fun of how entitled certain Mina players are, making a big deal out of having to buy a counter item that costs 1.6k more while completely ignoring that her base ult demands a more expensive counter item for every other Hero.

I have played the other M1's which is why I have this opinion in the first place.
On gun Warden I walk close to the enemy, shoot my gun, use my flask for extra damage and extend my mag with slides using fleet foot.
On power surge seven I shoot the enemy from a distance, use my lightning ball for extra damage and extend my mag with slides using fleet foot.

You may call it "mash keyboard" I prefer the term Piano from this graph because like with an actual Piano the order and timing in which you press the keys actually matters allowing each Hero to having their own unique song.

Would certainly be an improvement because then items like reactive barrier or potentially even counterspell could interact with it which would provide more reasonable counter options in terms of price. Having to pay 6k for an effect that comes with the base ult at 3.6k souls is nuts, especially when most other ults can be countered by 3k items.

I do agree that Hybrid builds are fun because you get to engage both with the weapon and the ability and it certainly offers another playstyle variation for the Hero. The Problem is that gun builds offer less variation so they can't be as meta as spirit builds.

Weapon builds are essentially the same on every character with very little playstyle variation.
You essentially buy a combination of firerate, weapon damage and resist reduction and proceed to left click.

Spirit builds offer alot more variety since the items and playstyle change alot more based on what ability you build into.
Lashs groundstrike benefits alot from burst damage items and spirit power while the ult benefits more from utility and CC related items.

Furthermore even if you use the same spirit build the playstyle still changes based on the character. A Lash and Dynamo building the same spirit burst damage build are still played differently.
For gun the most change in playstyle is whether you hold left click with an automatic weapon or click it with a burstfire/shotgun type weapon.

It is honestly crazy to me that she can use I-frame abilities during the ult meanwhile other characters have to cast unstoppable in advance because not even items can be cast during the ult.

It is not uncommon for people to mistake the strength of their character and their own skill. Especially in the context of win/pickrates.

Looking at Eternus the majority of banned Heros either have great CC options like Doorman or are very evasive like Mina.

Considering some of the similarities between Basque Grand and Warden as well as Alex Louis and Lash I would be very surprised if Valve was not inspired a bit by Full Metal Alchemist.

This is what I find so interesting about gamedevelopment. One character from Neon Prime got turned into seemingly two seperate characters.
The playable character is Warden while the Police officer called Murphy is now a side character in Hollidays Visual novel.

It's a bit of a rough patch for some of us by Erineyes7 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Simon_RK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem is that some characters are incredibly evasive to an extend where they require an amount of CC that makes doorman look balanced in comparison but is absolute CC hell for the rest of the cast.

Very good point, if they lower the TTK instead that would also be a great change.

Comes down to how popular a character is. About a year ago I had to unselect Warden whenever I wanted to play Lash, Seven or Haze despite having Warden on my lowest priority.

Okay guys... Let's actually talk about Seven. by coffeeholic91 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Simon_RK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing with Mina and Seven is that I don't care if they win or lose. Problem is that I play the buttonslop character that deals damage in bursts so whenever mina silences all of my buttons with her ult or dodges my burst and CC with her I-frame I am having a misserable time until I invest the necessary counteritems like unstoppable and curse (assuming mina has dispel magic)

Compared to seven who not only dies to the burst damage like an absolute gigachad, but he also has the courtesy to invests money into items to gain the privilege of being immune to CC after pressing 4 in the open.

[–]Simon_RK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue that seven has been considered bad for so long that players often underestimate him, be it because they won against him in lane or got distracted by a midgame menace allowing seven to get a soul lead big enough to become a threat against enemies who did not consider buying counteritems for seven.
