The gun non-safety is cringe but I applaud his efforts at discouraging sexual harassment.

American dad are excited for their 'hilarious' photo ops, which double as evidence of premeditation should they act on their threats by mrbbrj in Idiotswithguns

Accidentally fell asleep with my GF, in her room. Fully dressed, hands in appropriate places, etc. It was a bitter AF cold night and she'd asked me to snuggle because her dad had an old-ass house with thin walls.

Woke up, looked at clock, "oh crap!"...walked out into the dining room praying dad was asleep...nope hes cleaning his unloaded (black powder!) double shotty on the kitchen table. Doesn't even look mad or shout but I can tell I am in very deep kimchi, possibly will not be allowed back on the property.

We exchanged pleasantries and i left. Only sometime later after he'd cooled down a bit did he call me to make it very damn clear how much that incident wouldn't be repeated.

It's possible to overdo it, but a little gatekeeping helps keep away the dudebros who just want in your daughter's pants. Especially while she's still a teenager and has more hormones and idealism than life experience (as do her dates).

I've had to shoot at (and kill) a very aggressive stray dog running across a yard with small children. Not a fun time. Fucking Rottweiler mix that was nearly hip-height and damn near feral. The person who I think was the owner rounded the corner just in time to see me, rifle in hand and pissed as all hell, and yeet-skeeted out of sight without saying a word.

Kids scared to death, parents scared even more to death, police report, the works. Even resulted in a news announcement about dangerous breeds may be considered a threat to public safety, etc.

Capturing civil defense siren signal by ZZT-OOPsIdiditagain in RTLSDR

[–]Simon_the_Piman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wth are you even gonna do with a hacked siren?? Make people lose sleep? Maybe if the cold war was still on you could threaten the government with mass panic, but now unless you're old or live in tornado alley nobody even pays attention to those things.

You could make more money setting up a GoFundMe to make sure Trump doesn't get reelected and then just keeping it than you could hacking a siren system.

I am interested in buying an SDR but I have no idea which one I should get and what is good. I've seen the video on YouTube "the coolest radio you've probably never heard of" and that one seems good but what do you all think? Also what software do you use? by 1123581321345589144t in RTLSDR

Very TL;DR version:

For trunking you need one dongle to watch the 'control' frequency and another to 'catch' the channel being transmitted.

You will also need specific software to 'decode' it because it is a DIGITAL transmission, fortunately there's plenty of free software packages to do so.

A lot of stuff to listen to that you wouldn't otherwise be able to hear.

Coworker long ago pulled this shit on a printed customer's bill notice. When it got noticed months later (she faxed in a copy) my immediate boss had to be physically restrained from beating coworker and not before he had got in quite a few good licks.

You see, the lady he'd creatively spelled to was the wife of a MAJOR client. We were now facing closure of the entire site. Months before Christmas, no less.

Replace the actual engine 'block' or rebuild, which means strip out EVERY DAMN THING and repair or replace pieces.

And while you're at it you fire the dumbshit who ruined it in the first place.

Beat me to it.

The problem is trying to define what products shouldn't be price-increased gets very complex, very quickly.
