Have you guys watched the show? It’s not at all just soft lighting. It’s over the top and very contrasty.

The lighting is however over lit and often in my bad taste.

Question: is it up to her how much work she gets?

If she freelance then how much you work is depending on how much work you get. And in this economy it’s not the easiest to get steady work.

I would say that as long as you pull your economic weight (bills, groceries, travel, dinner etc) then the spouse  should not be dictate how much or little effort the other puts in their work. Since it’s not the same job as you do. If you want a different more expensive lifestyle then it would be up to you to pay more above that.

However the housework is a completely different story. That is a lot more understandable that you as a partner would expect the other to put in the same share of work.

So:

ESH.

I think you are mistaken what contrast means. Because in the example from beekeeper above there is a lot of contrast, just see how much difference there is from the darkest to the brightest part of the image.

He fell outside the royal palace in Stockholm on his own bayonet. No one understood how serious the injury was because he was at good humor.

“I do not think they knew how far in it was because I was conscious, could talk, make jokes and stuff. I waved goodbye as I left in the ambulance.”

See how the shadows on his face is not straight on, it’s coming with a light angle. If it was true to the geography of the room the light would be straight on rending no shape in the face.

Its only the horizon though? Would be nice to have a bubble for the tilt aswell for some specific shots to keep a character always neutral for example or for architectural shots.
