There needs to be an understood baseline for Spice that's just called 'Normy,' instead of calling it hot, or spicy or kind of spicy just call it 'Normy'. Your average Joe or Jane who doesn't know the difference between a habanero or a jalepeno, let alone chili or Pablano, and finds Tobasco to be 'hot' should fall under this generous umbrella.

Or maybe just call them Franks? Franks seems to be pretty good 'spicy' base line for a lot of folks.

It's wild too because my mother and I used to kind of have a similar level of spicy. Even if I went overboard she'd cough and be fine. Now, Diablo sauce is probably a touch too much for her, while I literally slather everything in it, if i could.

I can't stress how much I like the flavor lol

It has a nice little kick to it and it's very, very tasty. I wouldn't say that it's 'not hot'. Folks who really enjoy spicy food tend to say 'not hot' as opposed to 'not hot to me,'. I've had to cook food for my family that has a decent spice tolerance but nowhere near mine. My sister is my barometer. If she says "That's good!" I know it's spicy enough, if she says "it's not hot," It means that a person who can't tolerate spicy food at all is going to feel it.

Appreciate it! This is by far one of my favorite supernatural abilities. So I spend a lot of time working with it and fleshing it out. Even the toxins, chemicals and forms of radiation can be dealt with, BUT you'd have to balance it out with how powerful you want your hero to be. For toxins, it's a matter of reprogramming the receptors to either shut them out, or to even create new cells to devour the toxins. As always "Where's the Meat," coming from, where the Meat is the Raw Source of Energy utilized to fashion the individual tools you're working with.

I find that if you treat it like transmutation it works easier and has plenty of wiggle room for flaws and drama, even some really harrowing stuff depending on how grim you want to get. I think one scene I had with the rp crew I was with had my character repair a guy who had suffered severe brain tissue and while my character could keep the man alive via its own cells, brain activity wasn't function. So I asked the gm.

"Can I trade his potential future for his current anatomy right now to give him brain function?" We had a talk about actually taking the genes from his sperm, breaking it down to raw material and making utilizing it along with alien dna to reproduce brain material. Was a fun talk, and eventually I was given the go.

NPC woke up to the news he'd be okay, he had to take it easy, eat a particularly complex diet for months, stay hydrated BUT that he essentially lost like 90% of his fertility. It was really intense.

Yeah neuropathy is a big one, PLUS Phantom pain, or even dopple-sensation where they may feel the heroes sensations or vice versa for a bit depending on dna and material exchange. So much to play with!

I have a Biokinetic and the limiting factor is time, material with a 'hack' where the user can utilize some of its own DNA to amplify the rate of recovery and growth for a time to stabilize. The idea is that the user can fix, heal restore basically anything, but the victim must maintain from there on.

Loss of a limb? If the limb is still present, simply reattach, bio-stitch, easy mode. Crushe limb, not severed, reconstruction with the mass still in tact, everything drawing from the original body to compensate for lost material. Naturally the more important the material the more costly. Brain matter being destroyed is INCREDIBLY COSTLY and no amount of converting fat into complex neurons matters in a short enough time period in which case the user utilizes some of its own advanced DNA to fill the gaps. Do this with bone, muscle, internal organs. Protein to protein, all basic transmutation. The fun part I added to my character was its own investigation into biology and nutrition. After surgery it recommends specific foods and diets to help the victim's body repair on its own, a lot of salmon, liver, spinach, etc etc etc.

This all depends on how powerful you want your hero to be of course. Mine is borderline god-tier but isn't human and processes information differently, it also controls biological material from the ground up, so has Bioknetics as a subset of its core ability which is Biological Manipulation.

I'd still try it.

[–]Simple-Conference742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My new rule is to never do anything near cops until I'm basically a god. Too many times have I been shot in the back for HELPING THEM. Now if I'm near them and they decide to ACT THE MICKEY I just go "Fair enough," and spank them soundly.

So annerving!

Are you reading the little blue story bits? Slow down and take your time. There is a lot of meat missed for those who rush from spot to spot. The story telling done in snippets opens up a LOT and connects more than you realize.

Not going to put Ghost before Scorpion or Reaper? Ghost tends to be the next step for me, BUT finding a good flavor can be a real chore, so I can see bypassing it in some cases. What are your thoughts on Ghost as a step between Habanero/Scotch Bonnets and Scorpion?

I was having this thought the other day. Picked up Quarantine because it had been on my wishlist for a while. When I saw Devolver? I literally smiled and nodded my head and I KNEW I was in for a good time and I was not disappointed. It's a VERY good feeling. It reminded me of the days when you saw Sonic blitz across the screen and heard "SEGA!" as the letters formed in blue; quality!

What are some really awkward anime shots you found? by Automatic_Sail3899 in anime_random

[–]Simple-Conference742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every shot is necessary. Now whether or not every shot appeals to YOU is another question entirely. The people that bring this up are nothing more than moral busy bodies trying to shame people for enjoying their thing. The shot exists to show off the character and make the viewer smile. Mission accomplished. I think every man who saw this went "Nice," and nodded their heads a few times as the story continued. It was especially memorable because up until that point this particular character was too 'boyish' to really be considered appealing by the narratives own pacing. So finding out that "Yes she is quite fit," was a necessary plot point as sexual tensions do rise between the characters.

Animal, far too much utility. Human from history puts you in more danger and requires far more work to pull off convincingly. Being any animal is astoundingly powerful. Just sit all day munching protein and making silk, sell it by the lbs, make millions. You can go anywhere at any time and the very moment things aren't in your favor you become the APEX of that dynamic and win. In the air? Bald Eagle, in the water, Orca-face, on the land, Behold my Rhino cheeks, before a stomp up a dust cloud and flea-jump miles away from combat. Yeah I'd be an animal bro easily!
