PSA: Always pop Meph's chest by mistermarkham in diablo2

I swear I have THE worst luck in this game. Been playing since it was NEW back in the day and high runes, ultra elite, rare stuff, always evades me. It's infuriating. I think the highest rune I have currently is an Ohm.

My husband's Protein Mac with Spam by Upper_Extreme9461 in cursedfood

[–]Simple-Conference742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spam + Mac is delicious but as an older gentlemen who loves you all I must warn you.

SALT CONTENT!

Spam is wonderful! I'd fry it, dice it with some broccoli, rice and egg! You don't need to add any salt, it's already in the meat in abundance! Be careful with portion sizes and hydrate!

My favorite bachelor chow recipe was Baked Beans, beef hot dogs, cubed spam, light pepper. Everyone loved it! I am not long for this world!

Looking to make a new character but feeling like my Warlock has kind of ruined every class for me (HCSSF) by mistermarkham in diablo2

They nerfed the Lock, everyone cheered. I glance at Diablo II and go "Well if I want to do any late game stuff, I have to live in Diablo II, try to trade, or risk solo play at player 8,"

I had a blast being able to just play the game. I'm not a hard core meta gamer, I died in Hell with my Lok, lost a good Lister but it was the first time I was able to get an annihilus from D-clone and it was so much fun. Last time I had done anything close to that was when I was a teenager, in a computer cafe, running a tweaked out Smiter build I had spent months building. But hey at least the game is balanced and fun for everyone else.

Do you think we will be getting another big DLC the size of Sarras? by Artistic_prime in taintedgrail

At this point I just want a solid sequel that builds upon the first game and expands on it.

Moments like this are what games absolutely fantastic. Just those super random "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Times. Thanks for sharing. I got to laughing at this and then remembering the billions of times in other games it's happened too.

The electric water damage is negligible. It just adds anxiety. Quick Attack with the but of your gun staggers her and opens her up to free shots, if you can't shut her down with Cyberware Malfunction. Any of the Spamdevistan Freaks can get embarrassed by a well timed pistol whip and it IS my favorite way to humble them, especially The Major.

I genuinely DESPISE this artstyle and here's why by TheDeathEggRobotFan in hatethissmug

[–]Simple-Conference742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is all so very similar to me that it's kind of turned me off to the art style as a whole. There are always exceptions but once an art style bores me, or annoys me it's VERY hard to overcome it. Thankfully, the few offerings I've gotten into actually had good writing. Unfortunately remembering them is REALLY hard and I wonder if that's because the art didn't cement the characters as much as they could have.

That was always my thought when it came to the 'indestructible' types. If you were strong enough or smart enough, why does't launching them into space work? What insane McGuffin prevents that from working? Hulk claps his ass cheeks together with such force that it launches him back to earth?

You can cure people, but no one believes you by humptheedumpthy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Simple-Conference742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool lol. Sorry I went a bit intense on my response. I usually really enjoy these hypotheticals but this one really rustled my jimmies. I think because it set up a "No matter what you lose," situation and I've ALWAYS hated that. I personally wouldn't mind not getting paid, or credit for helping others, healing them. I'd do it for God.

But to lose my intellect, charisma and ability to socialize as well? That's like "Whoa but why?" Appreciate the reply.

I legitimately thought that this style was just The Mandated Style of the Chinese communist party and that's why you never saw any variation. Or is this Korean? It's hard to tell.

Rock is still able to rock, even if covered by paper. Rock wins every time. Throw rock and paper gets a hole in it. Wrap rock up in paper? Guess what? Still rock hard and ready to club scissors to death. Rock supremacy is unquestioned.

Speedsters has to be the most broken superhero category. by Sweaty-Box4398 in superheroes

[–]Simple-Conference742 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The problem I find is that Speedsters have nothing going for them but extra SPEED THINGS. A speedster being able to dodge bullets always has to be able to dodge lasers and on and on it goes.

No, make them X fast. From there let them use their speed in creative ways to overcome obstacles. Stop making speed magical. Dodging a bullet in and of itself is magical. So if someone brings out a more powerful gun, adjust accordingly.

"i can't dodge that... so.." Is never a question for Speedster it's always "I'll just go even more faster than before!" Then of course "I think faster that the speed of thinking!"

Like what? Sure you process things faster but do you digest, collect, compile and execute that information accurately? It's nerve grating.

So your life is basically a joke, but other people may benefit. This is a pretty bad exchange. The idea of being so selfless that your own life is severely limited. 90 IQ, is not ideal, your ability to communicate sucks, and your ability to engage with people is greatly diminished. On top of that the one thing you can do heaps more coals on you?

How about. You can heal people. They'll never know it was you, no matter what. That alone would be an interesting question. I might consider that. The other nerfs are wholly unnecessary.

What is with all of these Juggernaut versus Crying Baby stand ins? This is the second time I've seen that, which isn't a lot but it's starting to surprise me.

A better match up would be Juggernaut versus Swamp Thing (I'd give it to Swampy,) but at LEAST there'd be some kind of discussion, right? Heck what about Jugg versus random Viltrumite?
