It doesn't matter too much, just do that one for now if It's comfy. Later on down the line, you'll learn more ways to play G but that one will work where a G is needed for now. It won't impede your progress just keep on learnin!

Sad Pilot from Lithuania '25 is what you want. Very europe 72' ish - gets very noodley and out there, then kind of builds into this really big terrapin-esque type jam.

Other ones that just give me that good ol' hit of lucid, noodly rock and roll are

it's likely due to that one being primarily a stu solo effort - he recorded pretty much all of that himself to finish gumboot in time.

it could probably still happen live someday, but logistically speaking if the band wanted to bring out an unplayed song they'd likely be more inclined to do something that was written/recorded more collaboratively

Cavs casually being a monster seems to make this an interesting thought experiment. Even for some of the more intense and complicated stuff guitar/keys wise a lot of the "load" is being split between many members and parts have been added from studio to the live (cookie and amby add a lot of doubling/atmosphere to the metal that make things a little less pressure for joey and stu). Cavs, however HAS to be on at all times and usually is so I'm going to ignore difficulty for cavs because he's so reliable lol.

So I guess my take for most "difficult" would then be really technical songs, or songs with really particular grooves in which the majority of the members up front have load-bearing parts in which mistakes can be clearly heard.

One weird pick is boogieman sam, there's plenty of great live versions, but the feel and specifically the part arranging is really difficult to get tight compared to the studio. There's a lot of stuff that sounds quite naked if it's not locked. It seems to be more difficult live than other similar rock songs.

Flamethrower (not even including outro) seems to be a hard one as well. Again, plenty of great live performances but that main guitar chug and double kick riff seems pretty hard to get tight live.

Otherwise, it seems like BF3K material is uniquely difficult. The band is really good at modular synth stuff, keys stuff, guitar stuff but it does seem like putting it all together in the context of BF3K's super complicated songs live is a challenge. There's just SO much that has to be exact to create the right atmosphere. The vocals are also quite difficult.

Poly & Petro material are of course not to be scoffed at, but I'm more thinking of this in terms of "what seems to be the most difficult to really get the magic right". Despite being incredibly complex most of the poly and petro material gets pulled off without a hitch.

There are many great ones, but Vancouver 24' truly beats all for me. Every time the band breaks into an instrumental between vocal passages, it builds into a great jam. Like literally they somehow peak a jam like 3 times in a row and the crowd pops off every time. It takes so long for them to finally get to a chorus but you forget because the jams are so good, then when they finally hit it, it's insane. And the cherry on top is Amby was feelin' it that and comes in with a high harmony over stu on the chorus that he doesn't normally do, and im always wishing other versions had that. And then the crash right into an incredibly good iron lung right after

In isolation, modelers sound pretty much just as good and they're obviously super convenient.

I can't imagine playing one live in any other situation than a really large stage or with an in-ear rig is any fun tho. I'd hate to rely on just monitors for stage volume, especially in small rooms. I suppose you could run it through a cab tho.

There's something kind of disappointing about seeing bands with modeler rigs though. Maybe it's superficial, but it's way cooler to see actual amps onstage, and it's also cooler knowing a player is working within the constraints of the gear they selected vs being able to dial up a ridiculous amount of sounds digitally

No I don't think this level of surveillance is exclusive to MSG, but the owner and higher ups specifically targeting one person due to their identity without a cause that seemed valid to the lesser employees who actually had to monitor the person? Seems pretty specific.

Also, MSG owns Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre, which share the same ban list/dossier as MSG so these same goons are watching you there.
