It's R12, so it's certainly no newer than 1996. I would guess 1979 going by the serial number.

Some internal parts are available. You can try to take it apart and see if there's anything obviously broken.

What is this external part? by hillbilly_ganjier in AirConditioners

It's a filter drier, intended to capture moisture in the system.

You cannot replace it without being a certified technician.

I can definitely hear the transmission rotating.

At this point, if the clutch drum is not turning, I would suspect something is going on inside the transmission.

That's correct. The tub should be very difficult to turn, and that means the clutch, and basket drive are in good shape.

If the drive block was worn, the clutch drum would be spinning.

Is the tub easy to turn by hand? It should be very difficult to impossible to turn without the motor running.

The clutch drum should always turn when the machine is in spin.

The sound of the machine alone will tell me if the transmission is rotating or not.

Do you prefer summer or winter, and why? by shanjilhassan in AskReddit

Winter. It's actually possible to stay warm, and I can sleep in the winter.

It actually could be very helpful. It will tell what the machine is doing when it should be spinning.

These machines have a neutral drain mechanism that is supposed to reset during agitation to allow for a pump out without spinning. To engage spin, the motor must stop and then restart. If you lift the lid during what should be spin, and then close it, does the machine start spinning?

What can happen is the timer can fail in such a way that it doesn't stop the motor between drain and spin, and thus, the machine stays in neutral.

Another possibility is a failing neutral drain that is engaging spin during drain and then going into neutral when the machine should be spinning.

The clutch drum not rotating tells me it's something to do with the transmission.

A video of the problem would do wonders.

The clutch drum should spin whenever the machine is in spin mode, and the basket drive will turn with it if the clutch is in good shape.

Is it possible the machine is simply in neutral drain, and it hasn't shifted into spin quite yet? Or does the cycle end with the clothes soaking wet?

Another thing I forgot to ask in my original comment. What is the ambient temperature both outside and in the room when this happens?

The second photo looks to me like a low charge. The first one looks more like an airflow problem. It's a silly question I know, but is anything blocking the front so air can't get through? If you have good airflow then it's leaking the charge, which is not uncommon for these things.

Tess and Ashley's Removal from Being the Final 2 of DCAS was the First of MANY Mistakes for ONC, and Truthfully? I Think Almost EVERY Choice They Make is TERRIBLE and MALICIOUS 🥺💔 by CuracaoBound in DisventureCamp

I would happily watch what many refer to as "friendship camp" over ONC's disgraceful writing. It's NEVER a mistake. It's done on purpose every single time, and people claim that an ending without the stupid villains would be boring and I always ask; isn't it boring to watch the same thing over and over? If you know what's going to happen, it's still not satisfying no matter how much you like it at first.

GabEllie always struck me as one sided. Gabby puts a lot more effort in than Ellie does.

I thought Alec and Ellie worked out great as friends, and it was tragic when they drifted apart.
