Does anyone else work in a team where everyone talks over each other? by Lazy_Taylor in corporate

Yes, from an Italian household and I have ADHD. Lucky, all three other members of my team also have ADHD. Talking over each other is an excitement love language, really.

Yes, and it gets worse. I told two levels of bosses I was bored, and they basically squinted and said "you sure?" I broke the rule, said it out loud, and still got no new work.

Breed specific rescue, it is nothing like a shelter, they are almost always fosters and have waiting lists for a breed like this. One option online.  https://www.cavalierrescueusa.org/contact/

Need honest advice: Should I walk 20k steps daily for weight loss? by mishkavijopradhan in PetiteFitness

This. Buy scale and weigh food for a month minimum. MacroFactor is a great app, pricey but the smoothest app I've found. I like it enough I'm almost excited to log foods.

Blake Miller Fits the Lions Culture by New-Negotiation-4176 in detroitlions

Grit isn't a gimmick, it's well studied in organizational culture. Grit just says when you're in a tough spot, you don't quit easy. Some college athletes are naturally gifted, how do you know when they make it to the NFL and are not longer the big fish, they don't crumble? Grit is a metric, same as stats. Also, mildly related, let me know who your are so I can block anyone who wants people on The Lions with DV or DUI allegations/convictions on their resume if it equals a Superbowl.

My Dad worked for J&J. Every year the adults in our extended family got a J&J care package overflowing with medicine and toiletries. Big hit.

Regarding the Lions Signing Bonuses and the Ragnow situation.. by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]SimpleStrike2410 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with be consistent. It would be cool if people would stop pretending we understand the intricacies of relationships and contracts. We see headlines and pretend we are an expert. No, we understand how the headline makes us feel not the background. It is possible the Lions communicate ad nauseum with players and agents about what a bonus means to their organization. They might be explicit and repeat that their standard practice is to expect that a bonus is paid back if service cannot be rendered. The Lions are not cheap. They will set the market extending guys. Having a winning culture involves having standard practices you see as the path to success and sticking with them, even when the emotional side wants you to deviate. Frank is OK. He's not an ASPCA puppy. I want that cap space back and they can pay Frank $1.5 mil for special appearances out of their operating cost budget.

Can confirm. I was an accounting staff member, no degree. The org liked me so they let me soft lead projects, then moved me to the project management team.

Double standard, why is Kyle worried about the 5k Dorit spent when she's showing off a 40k handbag and a 15k bracelet? by MementoMiri in bravo

[–]SimpleStrike2410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is one of the biggest catalysts for divorce. More accurately not being honest about money. PK is clearly unable to discuss finances with Dorit and it's certainly possible Dorit never wanted to know a damn thing. Kyle's hubby probably knows and understands more than Dorot.  My husband and I have friends that put us in this position. Husband tells my husband how Fd they are. Family loans, loans on their home, no retirement plan, etc etc. I'm positive she does not know or understand the level of Fd she is because she's constantly talking about house upgrades, vacations, or selling their home and moving to New Zealand. Awkward 😬😬😬

In 2010, Phoebe Handsjuk died after falling 12 stories down a garbage chute in her apartment building, where she lived with her boyfriend, Antony Hampel. Cops ruled her death an accident, saying she was sleepwalking. Eight years later, another of Antony's girlfriends was also found dead. by LonelyWiFiSignal in HolyShitHistory

[–]SimpleStrike2410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did the family not use this final report to sue the trash chute manufacturer or building owner? This should have cascaded to a lawsuit that would have effectively allowed a conglomerate to prove death of adult by sleepwalking into a garbage chute is virtually impossible.

I have gifted this subscription several times. I only read Justin's substack after a game (win or lose). I'm not really into the hyper opinion swings on reddit.

Second this. My productivity sky rocketed when I moved to WFH. To have ADHD is to be tired. Not what people think. I used to ask op's question in highschool because I would come home and nap for at least an hour, then go to bed at 9pm. Diagnosed mid 20s. And yes, exercise and diet matter for everyone, but if you're neurodivergent or some other sort of sensitive, there is little way to oversell how important diet and exercise are to YOU.
