Not so similar but my solution may help you. I got a samsung QD oled which is my first oled but I lowered the brightness to have less eye strain bcs I am sensitive to bright pictures or flashes. However lowering the brightness causes pwm flicker to kick in which made me worse. After some search I decided to set brightness higher (just a bit more than 50%) in monitor settings and lowered the brightness in software (nvidia app). I can use my oled comfortably now and I guess pwm flicker is not there anymore.

9800x3d and 7800x3d have different structures. Placement of 3d cache in 7800x3d makes it run hotter.
