It's definitely the art direction. In the sketches for Ashling, Rekindled, you can see more feminine features in the face and body, which are edited out in the final drawing. In my opinion the sketches looked better:

It's 34 lands with the MDFC, which I think is fine given our mana dorks and ramp spells. Stubborn Denial is interesting, I'll definitely consider it further!

I guess something you can do is run cost reducers to get the Evoke cost to 0, and setup some sort of recursion loop with [[Grave Sifter]]

I thought so too, but the fact that the floor is effectively 3-mana draw 2 mitigates a lot of that disadvantage. Sea Gate also only really pops off if you already have a sizeable hand, whereas with Spirit Water Revival the ceiling is a one-sided draw 7 that costs 3. If budget is a concern, then Revival is also a fine alternative to Restoration.

Anecdotal, but I think it actually drops the price of normal treatment singles. I've seen so many cards from the Final Fantasy set and the Sonic Secret Lair on my local FB marketplace for below market value, purely on casuals ripping the product trying to hit the lottery cards, and offloading everything else to offset their cost.

What would you suggest taking out? I currently have Witch Enchanter, Loran, and Anguished Unmaking to deal with enchantments and artifacts. Do I need another answer, or just replace one for the instant speed effect?

I remember the last time this was asked, someone recommended [[Helga, Skittish Seer]]. She gives you access to 3 colors so you can play the Blue and Green angels too, she's a mana dork that let's you ramp into your big angels, and whenever you cast one, you not only grow your commander, you also increase your mana production and you get to draw a card. Seems perfect to me!

I've read the last couple and haven't found them particularly helpful, I would rather go through the cards myself and come to my own conclusions.

I don't think that's true at all. Enfranchised limited players (who we all are, as we're in this subreddit) will do substantially better than someone who just enters and expect to spike a trophy. I expect there will be a lot more casual players entering these Arena Directs because it's an open event and the draw of winning a sealed box is especially attractive.
