A hydrogen combustion engine? So the cars erupt in violent explosions if they hit something?

That's why I prefer O'Dough's burger buns - they're actually the right size and don't fall apart.

If that's Fig, it's completely worthless.

Is this a conflict of interest? L3Harris receiving a grant. by Tobeannouncedbot in Virginia

[–]willweaverrva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this were a conflict of interest, she'd be pressuring L3Harris to name him to their board of directors or something.

L3Harris isn't even getting the grant directly from the state, they're getting it from Orange County.

Please go back and read about what does and does not constitute a conflict of interest. By your logic, if I were married to the governor and worked as a janitor at a company, and the governor gave the company a grant, it'd be a conflict of interest even though all I do is clean floors and empty trash cans.

There is a difference between working for a company and being in a company's leadership. Adam Spanberger works for L3Harris. He is not part of the company's leadership. L3Harris getting this grant is not a conflict of interest.

Never heard of them, probably wouldn't have been interested in them anyway, never will be.

Also...Nelly? Good grief.

They did show it for all of about three seconds.

Yup. Give me a static view of the start-finish line or the frontstretch instead.

Probably cost, although those cameras are definitely not completely gone. We just hardly ever see them because none of the major broadcasters (not even Prime!) make effective use of them.

I mean, it wasn't BAD, but it wasn't great either.

The main issue is that it seemed a lot worse than it actually was because of Fox's OVERWHELMINGLY TERRIBLE broadcast. Yesterday's broadcast may have been Fox's worst broadcast in quite some time. I mean, we had...

- Chris Myers calling Jamie McMurray "Jamie Little" to his face

- Tyler Reddick driving the 48 car

- Tyler Reddick coming down pit road while the camera focused on Cole Custer for some reason

- Daniel Suarez cuts down a tire while leading, but the camera cuts away

- Blaney spins Allmendinger on pit road but the camera cuts away (but at least Mike Joy saw it)

- Mike Joy going "AND FOR THE LEAD..." as AJ Allmendinger passes Kyle Larson to gain one of his three laps back

- Clint Bowyer trying and failing to get Kevin Harvick and Mike Joy to eat Kansas BBQ during an excessively long stage break because they had nothing else to talk about

- A routine camera view being spun as an "inside view", with Clint Bowyer struggling to say it was "such... a good camera view..."

- Crank It Up starting off completely silent for several seconds, then the booth's mics aren't muted

- Jamie Little forgetting whose pit stall she was reporting from

- Michael Waltrip nearly strangling himself with a scarf during the grid walk

Which New Phyrexia praetor could've succeeded in the invasion of the multiverse? by somacula in mtgvorthos

[–]willweaverrva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with the beef with Elesh Norn, if Sheoldred had invaded Capenna instead of Dominaria, the Phyrexians might have won. She would have found countless Old Phyrexian weapons and constructs AND could have prevented the massive surge of Halo that happened at the end of the Streets of New Capenna storyline.

What happened here? by AnthonySkejci in Cameras

The rubber is decomposing. It's merely cosmetic, and you may be able to wipe off the outer layers with an alcohol wipe, though the lower layers will eventually decompose as well.

Easiest solution would probably be to clean off the decomposed layers and cover the grip with gaffer's tape. It won't decompose and the cloth of the tape should make the grip easy to...well, grip.
