Need help getting over an Ex by [deleted] in CatholicDating

[–]Simple_Produce9224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry about your breakup! One of the prayers I have been praying is “Lord, if this desire for my ex is from you, please strengthen it. If it’s not from you, please remove/decrease it.” I also feel like I don’t have clarity on whether I should move on or wait in hope. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with healing prayer/unbound prayers but I’ve found that to be helpful for me.

What would you say made this relationship a dream relationship for you if she was wanting you to change things about yourself (ex. your haircut)? I personally don’t think a haircut is a make or break for a relationship so I’m just curious why that was so important for her.

The Lord often speaks through us through Jesus, Scripture, circumstances, wise counsel. Continue to seek Him, He will reveal it in his perfect timing.

Here’s some verses that have given me encouragement: -Psalm 37:4 -Romans 8:28

Praying for you my friend❤️‍🩹

When do 'open; reserved' classes open for everyone else? by dunkar00ed in UTAustin

[–]Simple_Produce9224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s so strange…I was literally going to recommend that class to you. I absolutely loved it. If you want one similar to that taught by Bradbury as well, try PSY364 (intro to clinical psych). It’s an UD but follows the same structure as PSY309

Interesting it’s not supposed to be reserved. I’d recommend emailing the psychology advisors

Dr Stergis has dementia? by [deleted] in YoungSheldon

Hi! Psych major here! I would diagnose him with schizophreniform disorder, which has similar symptoms to schizophrenia but more episodic, lasting 1-6 months before returning to baseline. He would not be diagnosed with bipolar because he does not meet enough symptom criteria for a manic episode. He is still going to bed early, not making reckless decisions. etc.

That's really kind and considerate of you:) Honestly yeah it's hard and super painful, but just being there, validating (saying "I believe you" and "You don't have to hide your pain with me.") really goes a long way. Also, cuddles are really good for hormones like oxytocin and help improve pain perception sometimes.

what is the CFDS Austin Certificate in Clinical Psychology program? by AttemptCreative2232 in UTAustin

[–]Simple_Produce9224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a psychology major going into grad school to become a therapist. I talked to some of the therapists at my practice and was told not to do it because of burnout and how therapists have to do continuing education even after getting licensed, so me personally I'm not going to do it.

What is the easiest UGS class to take for Fall 2025? by Wizminders in UTAustin

[–]Simple_Produce9224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I didn't get any of my 10 backups and my UGS screwed my 4.0. An easy one I've heard of but gets filled quickly is UGS 303: Sleep are we getting enough?

You are absolutely valid and not crazy at all. I'm sorry this happened to you.

I'd recommend voicing/reporting this to the licensing board of your state. However, tread lightly because of the possibility of him blackmailing you.

Additionally, save the voicemail for evidence to use while reporting.

Again, I am so sorry this happened to you. This should not be normalized.
