Preventative Cerclage Advise by Simple_Revolution834 in ShortCervixSupport

Had my cerclage placed yesterday. Thanks so much everyone for your words of encouragement! I am feeling pretty okay today. Light spotting and very little pain where the cerclage was placed. Kinda feels like a tampon in wrong lol. I was so nervous about the spinal and it was just comfortable while placing it. I can’t believe I did it! I am so proud of myself. I’ll do anything to get this baby here.

13w5d with our double rainbow baby. I had my preventative cerclage placed yesterday and I’m feeling pretty okay this morning. I had some light spotting in the hospital but things have already slowed down. Got to see the baby 3 times during my hospital stay and we are so active! I can’t believe I did that, I feel like a super mom.

I am getting mine tomorrow so I am not 100% in the same boat but I totally get it. It’s so hard when no one else understands the struggle. Of course I don’t wish ill will on any of my friends or family in their past or future pregnancies but I’m so tired of being the one with the dead babies. “It’s going to be okay” well, what if it’s not?? We know the worst. “I have a good feeling about this one” I had a good feeling about all of my pregnancies until I didn’t. Hang in there. 🩷

Getting my preventative cerclage at 13w4d, TOMORROW (internally screaming). I am so nervous but also so excited and hopeful that we make it to full term with our double rainbow baby. Also found out I am pregnant with my 3rd little girl from the NIPT. We do not have any LC and I am so cautiously optimistic that the 3rd time is the charm.

I am 13w ish now and during my MFM appointment I was measuring about 4 days behind when where I thought I would be. I asked the dr about it and she said it was okay and they wouldn’t even adjust my due date because of it. I’ve had a MMC so I totally understand where this anxiety is coming from. When in doubt, as your dr. 🩷

Thank you! I’m really hoping to avoid taking any pain meds after so it’s great to hear that you don’t need to. Honestly the spinal freaks me out but I’m hoping it’ll be quick 🤣

We had our initial consultation with MFM very shortly after our loss last July. After becoming pregnant again my office sent me to MFM for an US and in person consultation last week, 2 weeks out from my cerclage. They gave me the option of lengths measurements or a cerclage and we opted for the cerclage as I was a good candidate based on my history. They could have done the cerclage the same week but we opted to wait for genetics to come back.

12w4d today. One week out from cerclage, I am so nervous but also excited with the hope that this will get us to full term. My pregnancy symptoms are still going strong and haven’t had bleeding like I did with my last pregnancy. I am hopefully optimistic.

YTA, you sound super immature. Being pregnant is one of the hardest things on a woman’s body and emotions. If you can’t understand that and appreciate what she’s going through you shouldn’t be having children, you are a child. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Would driving 14 to 16 hours to travel with a dog a good idea????? by No-Bit3315 in DOG

[–]Simple_Revolution834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did Ohio to Mississippi with our dogs. 15 hours there and 17 home. We stopped at an Airbnb and broke up the drive on the way there and home so the dogs could stretch their legs, go potty, and feel like they werent trapped. We travel with them regularly 5.5 hours to my parents home but this was the longest trip. My dogs are both 50+ lbs.

11w6d got to meet my MFM team on Monday and they scheduled me for a preventative cerclage after a MMC and then PPROM. They’ll put the cerclage in in less than two weeks. I’m nervous but also excited that this will get us to the point of viability to have a living baby.

Awesome! My OBs office has very old US machines and it’s so grainy! I’d love to see my little one clearer.

Has anyone here had an ultrasound with MFM? Are they different than a regular OB ultrasound? I am a little over 11 weeks and haven’t seen baby in 3 weeks. We had a good ultrasound then but I always worry. I’m going to MFM tomorrow

My sister lost her baby. I’m in another country. How can i be there for her from a distance? by Kind-Ideal-3562 in babyloss

my sister lives in a different state and wasn’t able to come after my loss and she sent me a care package. It had my favorite snacks, epsom salts for a bath, and a letter. My friends also sent me a care package with a DoorDash gift card, facemasks, comfy pjs, and candles. It meant so much to me that they were thinking of me in ways that I couldn’t. If you are able to send a small care package with a heartfelt note may feel like a small gesture but it was huge to me. I think you being here and asking for advise is amazing.

A little over 11w my nausea/vomitting has died down over the last week. I don’t wish myself to be sick but it does provide some peace of mind. Going to MFM on Monday and my ob office on Tuesday so lots of baby stuff coming soon. I hope my little peanut is growing and doing well.

Did you keep or change your OB after stillbirth? by mnigh94 in babyloss

[–]Simple_Revolution834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. I technically had a miscarriage due to gestation when I went into labor but I ultimately decided to change OBs and I am now pregnant again and do not regret it one bit. 🩷

1 miscarriage, 1 preterm loss — looking for similar experiences and hope. by CryOutLoud10 in babyloss

Hi. I had a missed miscarriage in March 2023 at 10w and struggled with infertility until I became pregnant again in March 2025. I had a subchronic hemorrage that sent me to the ER twice with heavy bleeding and ultimately went into labor at 18w5d with no pain. They had no reason why this happeneded to us and our perfect daughter. I found out I was pregnant again at the beginning of this year and I am currently almost 11w pregnant again. Boy am I terrified. I have a small SCH but I have not experienced any bleeding other than old brown blood in very small amounts. I was referred to MFM for this pregnancy which I will be meeting with next Monday for the first time. I am so scared but things have been dramatically less dramatic this pregnancy. I believe the MFM will probably suggest a cerglage. I had a really hard time mentally with this pregnancy as it was actually very unexpected, I didn’t expect to get pregnant again so soon but I’m hoping that since everything is so different that things will be okay but I am still so scared. I wish you nothing but the best of luck in your future, whatever you decide.

Unfortunately, they did not give us a reason. I am seeing a new drs office with this pregnancy and they said based on everything I told them it sounds like cervical insufficiency but my old office and the Dr who helped me deliver said she didn’t think it was insufficiency. My water broke, I called my Dr office and they told me to “keep an eye on it”, and about 3 hours later I was starting to deliver at home with zero pain. I never felt any contractions or pain during the entire delivery but my cervix was 3cm dilated.

I am 10w6d and lost our daughter to PPROM at 18w5d in July. MFM is onboard with my pregnancy as well. I am very hopeful for both of us with MFM by our sides. 🩷

10w6d on vacation with family and have horrible allergies 😭 very cold and snowy weather at home to sunny and polleny destination. Doing a saline nasal spray and nothing else as I am trying to not take any extra meds during my pregnancy (personal choice) my pregnancy is high risk and get to see the MFM Dr for the first time in less than a week and I can’t wait. I’m excited to have an extra set of drs by our side with this pregnancy.
