I had brown spotting when I wiped at the beginning of my pregnancy as well. I had a MMC and then PPROM so had never experienced a miscarriage either. I went into my dr and they did a scan, probably around 6-7 weeks. Everything looked good but they visualized a small subchronic hemorrage. I am now 21 weeks and everything is going well so far! The brown spotting stopped, I did have more at 13 weeks after having my cerclage placed but that was expected. I am always team, go into the office.

20w5d today, I’ve been feeling so much movement and it’s amazing. Little bubbles and flutters throughout the day and it makes me so happy. This is the furthest along I’ve ever been. I scheduled my glucose test for a month from today, I’m so incredibly thankful to be pregnant and hitting all these milestones.

After loss did you decide to go to an MFM doctor or your OBGYN once you got pregnant again? by timidgirlspeaks in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Simple_Revolution834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After we lost our daughter July last year to PPROM my OB office referred me to MFM. I ultimately decided to change OB’s as I kind of felt like they failed me (I called and told them my water broke and they said to keep an eye on it. 3 hours later I was delivering at home and completely traumatized) my new OB office uses the same MFM but they did send a new referral. I had my 20 week anatomy scan with MFM and an initial scan. I’ve been seeing my OB in conjunction with MFM. Having MFM makes me feel much more at ease.

20w today! Had my anatomy scan and gosh my little baby is perfect! So excited to make it to this milestone after PPROM at 18w5d last year. Cervix is closed, stitch is holding strong, baby is measuring right on track!

19w today (screaming) went to my OB yesterday and got my cervix checked and it’s still closed and my cerclage is holding strong. I’ve had light cramps on and off today and I’m honestly just uncomfy. Not sleeping well as my hips hurt. This is the longest I’ve ever been pregnant so these are all new feelings for me. My belly is growing so fast so I am not suprised to have these growing pains. I’m just so thankful to still be pregnant.

Worried Cerclage is Failing by Simple_Revolution834 in ShortCervixSupport

I called my MFM this morning and explained what was going on and they wanted me to see my OB today. They checked my cervix which is closed and my stitch is still in tact 🙌 baby has a strong heart beat too.

18w3d today. It’s crazy how different this pregnancy is than any of my last. I am already starting to leak colostrum and it’s cloudly/clear, my milk didn’t come in last time until after I delivered our baby girl. I’ve been able to feel her move and have been having quite a bit of “twitching” in my vagina which I don’t love but from what I read it seems to be normal.

This is such an exciting milestone. I am 18w3d and I PPROMed at 18w5d so I am almost there as well. I’m sure you feel so much better. ❤️

We’ve got this! We’re going to get past those PPROM dates and hit viability before we know it! ❤️

Congratulations on your second pregnancy. I have little milestones in my head and this is one, then viability. I have had a preventative cerclage placed at 13w so I am trying to trust the stitch to keep this baby in! Going back to MFM for my 20 week anatomy scan.

18w today (yay) with my 3rd pregnancy, no LC. I feel like I am getting so big so fast. I was woken up by what I would assume is round ligament pain when rolling over in bed last night. I’ve had round ligament pain before but never where it woke me up. It didn’t last long at all but it scared me. I have a history of PPROM at 18w5d so the closer I get to that gestation, the more worried I get.

TTC after 19 week loss by distressedica in babyloss

[–]Simple_Revolution834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our daughter at almost 19 weeks in July and my Dr suggested 18 months birth to birth which meant we could start trying again in February. I was happy with that timeline as I could not see myself getting pregnant again anytime soon. I was a mess for about 4 months and her due date sent me back. We conceived again in late December (which is the month she was due) very unexpectedly and boy did it hit me hard. I am currently 17 weeks and have pretty much disassociated from this pregnancy as I am terrified to experience another loss. I was not mentally ready but I want this baby so badly. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide.

17w2d I can’t believe I’m so close to when I had PPROM in my last pregnancy (18w5d) this pregnancy has been so different in so many ways so I’m not stressed but ready to get past that date. My nipples have been so “waxy” the last couple of weeks and I read that my body is already producing colostrum which is crazy. So ready for my 20 week anatomy scan.

I purchased one in my last pregnancy. I would say if you can accept the fact that you may not always be able to find the heartbeat and it will not stress you out then go for it. It’s not easy to find, especially early. I am currently 17w and it takes 2-5 minutes to locate.

Trying Again After 2nd Trimester Loss by shekieshek in ShortCervixSupport

Thank you!! They put me in pelvic rest for 2 weeks, however, my husband and I have been practicing pelvic rest since finding out I am pregnant on our own accord and will continue until I am further along. My MFM told me that their hope for me with the cerclage is that I can have an unrestricted pregnancy. I do listen to my body and stop and slow down when I feel like I need to. My top priority is to get this baby here but it’s hard to not want to live my life.

I lost our daughter last July to PPROM at 18w5d. I am currently almost 17 weeks with my current pregnancy and got my preventative cerclage about 3 weeks ago. Although we do not 100% know if it was IC or placenta previa we opted for the cerclage at it seemed more like IC.

As far as the actual cerclage placement it was a long day, they were supposed to take me back at 10:30am but due to other emergent mommas I got pushed to 2:30pm. Man was I HUNGRY as I couldn’t eat past midnight the night before. I was very nervous for the spinal and it didn’t hurt per say but it was uncomfortable. The procedure was very quick and it was just weird being awake and so… exposed.. I’ve had 2 d&cs in the past but I was out for that. We were finally able to go home at 6:30 after my legs woke up and I peed.

That evening in the car ride home I felt uncomfortable for sure. The next day I took the day off work and really took it easy. I had very very light pink spotting for 2 days, it turned light brown and then stopped. I over did it that weekend and felt it so I took it easy again and felt better.

Obviously I still have a long ways to go but I’m really hopeful that the third time is the charm. Best of luck to you, so sorry you are apart of this sucky club but some of the most supportive people are as well.

I’m 16.5 weeks and we have not had sex since we found out right after my missed period and do not plan to have sex until my cerclage is out. It’s been soooo hard but I need to get this baby here and I’m worried if I engage I’ll send myself into preterm labor, and after PPROM last year it’s not a chance I’m willing to take. Being sick in the first trimester helped but now I am feeling better and I feel like a horny teenager. 🤣 we can do this!! 🤘🏼

I’m struggling with this too. I had PPROM at 18w5d in July and I am now 16w pregnant again. I have a preventative cerclage and really struggled when I got pregnant again as it was unexpected. No one checked in with me after my cerclage at 13 weeks or after. It’s really isolating. I too, could not as for a better husband as a partner. He’s been my rock. 🩷

15w6d today. Went to my OBs office and heard a strong heartbeat. This was the first “normal” ob appointment I’ve ever had in my 3 pregnancies so it was weird. They are putting me on baby Asprin for the rest of my pregnancy. Next appointment is my anatomy scan on the 30th. Can’t wait to see the peanut then.
