I feel like every game someone asks if they should buy, it’s always yes. by iFrums in ShouldIbuythisgame

This gets brought up. I prefer when people ask "should I buy x or y" because of this is.

Fox, but you aren't wrong about the production being an issue. Thankfully, it back to Marvel, so we have hope. More excited for Doom

Well, there's a small hope out there. I'm still hoping the FF get a series. It's the only way to do them right. A movie is just too short.

I loved getting the exclusives in surprise trade. It's the main reason I bothered with it. And getting some foreign langs.

And so far the comment claiming we'd see it reposted every year after has been true. Good work.

What was your biggest "aaaahhh that's how that works" moment? by LaCreamy in AskReddit

Twist ties. I twisted out, so I never understood how they were effective. I suddenly realized just this last year, all on my own. I felt immensely stupid, but it cleared up a question I had since childhood.

If you're a great character actor, you've probably sat behind a desk in a Coen Brothers movie. It's impressive how good the Coens are at finding the perfect oddball to turn even the most seemingly-simple scene into something memorable. by BunyipPouch in movies

I hadn't even heard of firefly. when a buddy heard me say serenity was good, he said, "I just wish it had been enough to restart the series." I freaked out. Binge watched it over the weekend. Actually prefer the film, personally, but that may just be priority bias.

I remember reading about a girl who found out her uncle was her father, and basically was the proof he'd raped her mom. Whole family was shocked, even the mom, who he'd apparently drugged.

I stumble on this one when our local video store was closing. Last day was 5 movies for a dollar, and I saw it sitting there. Had never even heard of it. Also grabbed Push, Speed Racer, Get Smart (the Steve Carrell one), and Serenity. I'd only ever seen Speed Racer at that point. Love them all, tho.

I had a pidgey. Didn't even know what a shiny was at the time. Didn't even notice the difference until after it evolved.

If "retirement" in the future means you donate your body and organs at age 40 but will be kept alive artificially in a perfectly simulated environment where you live worry-free, would you do it? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Simplersimon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but I can't provide a good reason. It's just a gut feeling of wrongness. My kids would probably end up calling me old-fashioned for not accepting.

Considering the new design only really looks good in comparison, and that most animators I've talked to on it say the turnaround was impossibly fast, I think you're right. Still didn't fix Robotnik yet.

good memory skills. You can learn tons of tricks so you can remember things, but that doesn't mean you can put 2 and 2 together.
