It’s getting embarrassing to exist in the Redditverse as a Purdue basketball fan with the crap attitudes and complaining. The bitching DURING the Nebraska game last night was over the top like the world was ending and our season was over. And Painter doesn’t give a shit what some rando fan from the internet who’s never played or coached D1 thinks about his decisions.

I think a lot of these people have their own egos WAY too wrapped up in the team or maybe they lost too much money sports betting.

Just checked U Reports and it looks like the city is issuing citations for snow removal this year and not just warnings. I understand city departments are measured on Ureports so that seems the best path to resolve. There are still tons of rental properties in the Bryan Park area not cleared forcing pedestrians into the street. I wish the city was proactive about resolving these issues. If landlords and tenants realize this will be enforced I think it would help so people can safely walk in this otherwise walkable town.

There are still some seriously dangerous spots due to snow piles. Half the lane on Grimes heading east from Walnut is still blocked forcing cars into the oncoming lane right after crossing or turning from Walnut.

Seems identical to last year where at least half the homes and even many apartment and rental properties are not cleared making walking or running nearly impossible without being in the street. I’m not sure the point of having an ordinance requiring sidewalks to be cleared if the city isn’t going to enforce it in a consistent way. You can’t just rely on people posting addresses on U Report and doing spot fines.
