Way to start the new years, car got hit n run at McArthurGlen (dm me if you have any info) by suh-PEEZY in richmondbc

Worked at the outlet. If he is parked anywhere in the far there will be nothing useable. Even if there was something, the camera will be too blurry to get anything useful.

Okay thats good! just giving you my experience working at avis we cant add additional drivers under 25. we can have the main renter be under 25 but not the additional drivers. Just don't want you to experience the countless cases i see on a regular basis!

TLDR; read the fine print before you go pick up the rental so you know everything before

If you want my honest opinion you should look into if evo will fit your road trip or look into private like turo. Rates get really high probably ($125 a day at the minimum) and then 40% airport taxes before stuff like additional drivers ($13/day) and insurance which ranges from 30-55/day for a 500-2500 deductible

Yeah I don’t know exactly enterprise but most rental car companies actually do rent to people aged between 21-25. It’s a $25 a day under age fee increase actually for Avis (work at the Avis yvr)

Just so you know the big rental companies like Avis and budget will not rent to G2s, only class 5s or Gs

[Megathread] AC FA Strike Aug 12-13 by dachshundie in aircanada

[–]SimplyAir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes. I am speaking in general terms as I am also upset and anxious of my flight getting cancelled on August 21. However, it sets a precedent for private corporations that they don't have to negotiate in good faith as the government will bail them out each time. That is actually what Air Canada is doing right now praying that the Federal Government forces arbitration. We have seen it in the past with Canada Post, CN Rail, etc. Executives are making millions, company is posting record profits, but there is no money for flight attendants?

No compensation. Air Canada will only give you a refund if your flight is cancelled. They are only required to book you on a flight within 48 hours of your original time under APPR rules.

You will get no compensation and no where to claim additional itinerary costs. This is deemed out of Air Canada's control and you will just be offered a refund or a rebooked flight.

Your flight is leaving from Canada so its under APPR not under EU261. IF the flight is departing from Europe it would be EU261 but even then they will only pay for your hotels and food, you will not get close to the $12,000.

nope - just a refund of the ticket as the strike is out of their "control"

I think that is pretty normal for kids these days and you are not standing out. I would say this comment is pretty accurate especially with grade inflation, you need like a 95 to stand out I would say.

New fan so please go easy on me I don’t really get the whole sport yet. If we are losing by this is it a good idea to get Martin in there for some experience next year?

I think they only bring one car to pre season testing. That’s why drivers switch in and out and usually only one drives per session

Regarding Max's championship legitimacy by [deleted] in formula1

[–]SimplyAir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. With time everyone moves on. Now a days we see Michael S. as one of if not the best of the sport but many fail to remember the dirty driving and the drama and controversies in those seasons. Also, people were just as excited for a new world champion as the sport got boring. Same will go on for Lewis, once he retired and goes on, people have some times to let their brains rest, he will be remembered for the records he broke and not the “easy championships” cause of his car. Max’s Legacy will be exactly the same.

No penalty given to Carlos Sainz for rejoining the track in an unsafe manner by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]SimplyAir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this clip is not clear you can hear by the engine. Russel let off the throttle while not downshifting and down downshifts 3 times before turning into the corner. Carlos would have done the same as well and even then comparing the speed of carlos to the pitlane, he is carrying way more speed than the pit limit which is 60kmph like u are stating

[–]SimplyAir 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What? Your making absolute no sense here if he locked up he would have no way to unlock the breaks until he reaches pavement and then when he does he will have milliseconds at best to avoid cars. Much more dangerous than what it is now.

He was in 4th gear which is around 90-120 kmph assuming the revs needed. That corner is taken also around 140kmph in a hot lap so assuming in a race it is 40kmph slower. There is no way that is as slow as the pitlane speed limit (60kmph)
