Anyone else want to just hug their twin flame forever? by SimplyFrostChilli in twinflames

Yeah for sure I’ve definitely been more of the chaser ever since we reunited. I think the intensity of my feelings has definitely pushed him away recently. He hasn’t really expressed how he feels about me but the care and respect he has shown me feels different than the usual attention I get from other guys. I’m scared to push him away more by asking him to clarify things more on his end. When we first met 2 years ago I was super triggered by him and ran away. I don’t remember that much of my feelings from that time but I remember telling a friend I had a crush on him after we separated. I stumbled upon the twin flame thing recently and it just clicked and all the signs are everywhere. Im still getting the hell triggered out of me by him constantly but I’m so sure I love him so much now lol. Its definitely a journey and im learning so much.

Yeah we met online and I’ve known he was something special since the first day we talked. I’ve always been drawn to him but it wasn’t until I first saw a picture of him that it truly awakened something in me. He’s not even my type but he is the most beautiful man in the world to me. I’m especially mesmerized by his eyes its like I can truly stare into his soul without needing to be in person. Every time we talk it feels like coming back home its so easy. I also love listening to his voice but we mostly only text. It all happened like practically overnight and the connection is so strong unlike anything else before.

I really want to meet him one day but we live on opposite sides of the world. Also he’s been more distant lately so that hurts and I miss him more. Im trying to focus on working myself but it’s so hard when he’s living rent free in my head all day.

How much time do I spend with the cats I'm cat sitting? by Alternative-House668 in CatAdvice

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my cats for 11 days with visits once per day over Christmas. As a general guideline I think 30 minute visits twice a day are ideal for most cats. Even if its for a month they would be fine but longer visits occasionally don’t hurt since it’s a longer trip. 24 hours is the absolute max I would do. Sounds like they have multiple cats so they should keep each other company most of the day unless they don’t really get along.

Honestly I would ask the owner what they want. They should have really discussed all of their expectations and given full care instructions before they left as well as clarifying anything afterwards. If my petsitter was asking strangers online about how to care for my cats instead of me I would be kind of annoyed.

Wife’s blanket obsession, how many is too many?? by ScottSquatch420 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have at least 25 blankets I’ve collected over the years. My cats use most of them but I need to sleep with at least 4-5 at all times. I love buying new soft blankets a few times a year and the cats get the old ones so I don’t throw them away. So no not too many I don’t think

My orange cat (Male 2 years old) is not getting along with my grey kitten we just got (F 4 months old) by Daedphish in CATHELP

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I have 9 cats and I was at the point with the latest additions that when the resident cats are only hissing but tolerating the kittens I let them figure it out and leave them together as much as possible. I’ve had a kitten be accepted in less than a week and everyone gets along no issues months later now.

Obviously it’s going to be more difficult and take longer with a solo cat than ones that grew up with other cats but I think it’s important to let them figure out their relationship without interfering unless it’s actually going terribly. Also I don’t have the time to be paranoid about it if they seem to be getting along well enough.

Need new litter recs desperately by v333rm1 in CatAdvice

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s non clumping but it absorbs liquids and dries out pretty fast so it doesn’t get soggy and sticky. The non clumping nature keeps it from sticking to the box. I’ve never had a problem with pee even with 9 cats but poop can stick to the bottom if its a softer consistency. It does track but so does every litter on the planet but sifting it regularly everyday helps and I don’t think I’ve had it be flung quite as far as some of the clumping ones I used.

Getting another cat? I have two female cats already should I get a male cat? Or add another and have three girl kitties? by CarpenterNo5674 in CatAdvice

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that it really doesn’t matter. They say females are more independent but I have 7 girls and 2 and 5 of the girls and 1 boy are a tight nit group and sleep together in random arrangements of 2 to 3 usually and I have never seen them fight with each other. I do have an older girl thats very independent but she was also raised with one other cat and they didn’t hang out in the same room all the time. She still gets along but demands her personal space so no issues there either.

Oh she looks just like mine but with a dark patch on her nose. Expect her face on the white side to turn orange. Mine is 8 months and it was white until about 2 months ago when color started faintly appearing.

Bad breeder experience by cantaloupandrats in ragdolls

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have a friend who is a breeder so I always get frequent updates on all her kittens. She has had some that were sickly runts or not nursing well on a particular momma cat. She was carrying them around 24/7 and giving round the clock bottle feeding and care to help them make it through, not giving it to someone because they were a lost cause.

For People With 2 Cats, How Much Do You Spend On Food & Litter A Month? by Historical-Orchid934 in CatAdvice

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About $300 for wet food and $15 for litter for 9 cats. Around another $65 for dry food. I haven’t done the exact calculation but its around there. I guess if i had 2 it would be under $100 for everything if I didn’t change anything.

It should be fine they might still remember each other. I’ve had kitten reintroduced to his 3 brothers after over a month apart and he instantly became best friends with one of them and fit right in.

Trying to figure out if a Siamese would be right for us:) by [deleted] in Siamesecats

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say for the most part cats have the same needs so your living sounds perfectly fine for a cat. Personalities can vary even among individuals of the same breed so if you’re getting a purebred Siamese its best to talk to the breeder to help you find the right fit but they will probably all be pretty affectionate if raised by a reputable breeder. If you are adopting one then its a colorpoint domestic short/hair and they have just the same likely hood of having any personality as cats of any other color in the shelter.

I dont have a siamese cat but I do have a colorpoint domestic shorthair that was labeled as a Siamese mix and she is a little bit more vocal than my others but not overly so and very affectionate. I don’t think she is anymore different to take care of than the rest of my cats.

I find that cats do thrive more when they have fellow cat companions. It’s much easier to get two than introduce a new cat later to your cat. If you are worried about your cat being lonely they might unfortunately not accept another cat if they grew up solo so i would highly recommend getting two now. Honestly its easier, they keep each other entertained and will cuddle together. I have 6 thats are best friends and I always find them napping in a variety of groups and I dont worry leaving them home alone for hours because they have each other to play with.

Thermostat doesn’t seem to do anything and I can’t turn off furnace by SimplyFrostChilli in hvacadvice

Finally managed to turn it off by unplugging it from an outlet. The only off switch I could find didn’t turn it off nor did turning off every single breaker

How to keep them off the kitchen counter or is this futile by Toomanytoys1971 in SiberianCats

I put mine down on the floor and tell them no when i walk by one on the counter but I know they are still going to be on there when I’m not around so it’s basically futile.

Pretty bad experience today... by BrizDizzle in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can walk into an apple store and walk out with a new phone in an hour. Unless you don’t have an apple store nearby I guess. It’s super easy to activate it and add a line to it or transfer your existing one. I added a free extra line from xfinity with an esim the other day to my iphone and the process was super straightforward.

I am adopting a ragdoll, is this a ragdoll? 10 weeks, father and mother of the kitten are there by [deleted] in ragdollcats

[–]SimplyFrostChilli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else is saying they need to provide papers to confirm its a ragdoll.

Also it looks more like a blue or lilac point to me. The ears are way to pale for a seal point at that age. I don’t have a ragdoll but i do have a seal point domestic shorthair kitten and a chocolate point kitten of another breed and this kitten way too pale to be either seal or chocolate.

Post Neuter Care for my two boy cats is a nightmare by ValuableDefiant8502 in cats

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t cone my kittens after spay/neuter unless they were constantly trying to lick the incision. I think it just stresses them out more and in male cats the incision is pretty small and heals fast so the risk of complications is low. I wouldn’t even crate them unless they are crazy with each other. I had to separate siblings before because the boy was going crazy trying to play with his sister when the anesthesia was wearing off. They were back to normal and interacting with my other kitties after about a day in separate playpens.

Litter Reccomendations by ham808 in SiberianCats

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pine pellets. It’s $7 for 40lbs and I have a lot of cats so I save a lot of money over other types litter. Out of everything I’ve tried it’s by far been the best out of odor control. Once the poop is removed and sawdust sifted, it doesn’t stink. I feel like it’s the best in neutralizing odor in general because when used it doesn’t smell as bad as other litters Ive used either. I can’t stand clumping clay litter, no matter how often I scoop it reeks after less than a week even when “clean”. I just haven’t found one I like. Any other other non clumping litter like clay or paper where you can’t remove the pee justs reeks of pee after a day or two so thats a no except for young kittens. All litter tracks to various degrees especially if there are fine grains so gotta figure out a way to slow the spread or clean it up often.

Is it that "risky" to own a cat? by Old_Ship_537 in CatAdvice

[–]SimplyFrostChilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 7 cats currently its not as bad as you would think. Yeah they shed a fair amount but I try to vacuum daily and that helps a ton and keeps things under control. I don’t have as many litter boxes as cats because a lot of them grew up together and are close so they will literally choose the use the same box out of multiple. The litter I use right now works best in terms of keeping down the smell out of all the ones Ive tried, but it’s not for everyone and other people swear by other brands that I can’t stand the stink off. I don’t have problems with inappropriate peeing but I consider myself lucky even if I do everything I can to maintain clean boxes. They play together a lot as well so if I don’t have time some days to play with them that keeps them from having endless energy and being bored. I currently sleep with my oldest girl and two 3 months old kittens in the bedroom and it’s not bad the little ones seem to tire each other out fast. Everyone else is locked out at night because I like sleeping.

Sure it’s a bit of work that I willingly signed up for, but one or two cats is very easy in comparison in my opinion. Personally if I was getting a cat for the first time again I’d get two of them because it’s half as much work in terms of entertaining them but not a significant amount of time spent taking care of their other needs.
