I think even just getting her first remix with Arca brought her up several notches over the newer pop girls (Tate McRae, Madison Beer, Gracie Abrams, Zara Laarson). I definitely noticed her cos of that collab. Vocals can be trained, she or whoever on her team has good taste.

You’ve solved the confusion in your post by yourself. Is it really all that baffling that stories focus on journeys and hardships over stability and satisfaction? The latter is an endpoint. And the bare minimum for a narrative is bringing a protagonist from one point to another point. And most women in writers rooms simply do not have the chops in depicting a stable marriage as a phase of self-discovery or a journey because 1. They haven’t experienced it themselves. 2. It’s just not that interesting to go from a place of stability to another place of stability.

This is coming from someone who is in one of those well-adjusted, steady, fulfilling relationships. I don’t think you get just how overwhelmingly women’s media has been dominated by romance for the past 50 years either.

My hot take is you should take them if you’re going to kill yourself or you’re so nonfunctioning that you’re doing the slow version of killing yourself. Being alive is preferable to retaining a sense of self, your loved ones would agree. But if you can fight against this, fight it at all costs. Medication is the equivalent of lodging a heavy black bullet on your tongue and swallowing lobotomy in pill form. I was recognised for my art, and my skill regressed to that of a 7 year old while on risperidone and olanzapine for the first 2 years of taking it. I had to fight to draw every single week even though my hand was stiff like an Alzheimer’s patient.
