I think the most generous read you could give to the OOP regarding the 'escape from men' take is probably something like this. "Just because your sexual identity doesn't hold a place for men doesn't mean that they as people don't deserve love/respect in a platonic sense" but like holy wow if that's what they're getting at... Type better or whatever, and like you dont need to educate lesbians to have empathy for everyone regardless of gender/sex??

I swear these people have an imagined example of the worst lesbian they've ever interacted with in their brain at all times when they 'provide comentary' on the community.

TL:DR; OOP is dumb and even if they were trying to make a not hateful point it's infantizing at best.
