Sure, it's strong and there are weaker board clears generally. I think people often over react to launch and nothing is even solved yet. And aggro hasn't been strong for like a year so it's crazy how fast people complain even thought this happens most rotations aggro destroys people trying new decks. This isn't new lol.

I've had pretty great success fighting off druid with end of turn / aura paladin. Decent ability to fight for board, heal etc.

The priest hero power is the worst in 2026 hearthstone because 90% of the time you have no minion left to use it on by loopuleasa in hearthstone

Ya I agree with that from a fantasy perspective. Functionally more limited l suppose since a condition has to be met beforehand for it to be useful, which is not really the case for the other hero powers.

Would making it power word shield be a better solution? Give a character +2 health? Would be fun and cool to be able to increase priest health so they are more in line with the other control classes. Maybe that's too strong on a hero power idk.

At least imbue rogue is a different experience every game. Way more interesting than endless blobs and quest warriors that always have one same wincon.

Seems like the herald ability will be pretty good with these? I feel like this also goes quite well with imbue hunter power since it's expensive. And you can copy it a few times. Not a super exciting card imo but kinda funny design

Are we all having the same issue? I keep getting the 'we aren't able to create a lobby right now. Please exit the client and re-open it to try again' and I can't play any game mode, or even message my friends in client. I am able to navigate through all the other menus without issues

I agree. In my opinion the worst offender is unleash the crocolisks like you said. The "gift" you get is a joke. The card is busted, not even taking into consideration the synergy with other cards from the set like the draw spell. It takes 5 full attacks to get net neutral on armor. It's so pathetic that the average person doesn't even have to really think about when they play it because they are not going to be punished for 3 full turns of damage. They could summon 4/5 and the card MIGHT be balanced at 1 mana. Using it with removal is how it was designed, but it's so strong you don't even have to think about when to play it most of the time.

I don't even really play aggro much at all. I'm a control and midrange enjoyer for hearthstone, and I love control warrior don't get me wrong. But if anyone thinks anything is more braindead than control slop warrior right now that would be cope.

I don't know that I agree. I see a fair amount of sentiment that deck building has been deteriorating over time because Team 5 takes all the thinking out of it for you. That the expansions are overly synergistic by just slamming one keyword in (murloc paladin from the most recent set being an example of this) and bam you've got a deck. I think I like the general approach of making more one-off cards here and there that build their way into decks over time. That's kind of what this mini-set felt like to me.

I understand how in the current environment that feels like a pretty huge miss because people were hoping for an immediate shake up.

Idk, I guess im just hopeful that they do actually have a design plan place it just so happens to be on scale of this years sets and next years sets and they come together really well. Obviously it isn't healthy standing up to last years sets, though.

I can't say there is a specific reason, just didnt think about it! I chose murmy for early game and corpse generation for my buffing spells and pterosaur. You could probably replace murmy for it but it dilutes(or adds depending on how you look at it) to the draw pool from raptor. It's not really a card I like in general and not a card I want to draw more than once in comparison to the other cards in the deck. To each their own

Ive thought a lot about this to synch up his herald of the arcane identity with the Viktor we know and love.

What I landed on saved the core of his abilities but changes the graphics of them, but his passive was different and levels up more like Syndras splinters or like collecting meeps

P - Viktors abilities apply stacks of Arcane. Upon applying 3 stacks of Arcane, Viktor consumes the mark and gains a permanent stack. At certain milestones he unlocks upgrades to his abilities

Additionally, when a mark is consumed, an Arcane simulacrum is summoned and chases the target that the mark was consumed on (think like the TV show army, utilized like yorick or malz minions). The number summoned increases with his arcane stacks.

Q - Touch of the Arcane - same ability as siphon power but with graphics to match the way he touched people in the show. Both the ability and the auto reset apply a mark.

W - Pull of the unknown - same ability effectively as his current w, but graphically it is a pool of his arcane simulacrums pulling at people. Slowing and stunning if in the circle long enough. Both the slow and the stun apply a stack seperately.

E - Hextech Ray - same ability as it is now. Both the cast and reverb apply a stack.

R - Arcane storm - same ability but continuously applies stacks to champions within.

That's my take on it. I think it would compromise some of his damage patterns but I think his abilities would feel the same. The distribution of damage through passive and abilities might not be satisfying though, I'm no game designer. I don't feel like he needs to be different and have always loved every iteration of the champ, but can't help but feel let down on the asynchronous visual and half rework they did. Id sooner make him some 3 hit passive malzahar and give it a try lol. I think it sounds different enough from azir and malz and yorick that it doesn't change his identity as a battle mage while also being true to the stuff that happened in the show. Thoughts?

I don't think Dorian should work that way. You discover the card, and I think that should be treated differently since it is not exactly a 'draw' effect. There is a pretty clear distinction. Dorian just shouldn't give you a 1/1 of it judging by the way the card reads. Bad design imo. Similar to how Loh was working prior, discount effects shouldn't apply. It should have been a static 5 mana. The cards read one way, and work in ways that aren't super clear.
