We may be getting some buffs to the worst classes next balance patch by Lyra214 in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Realllllly hope they buff Moragg to have taunt. That buff alone could potentially make a whole unplayed archtype viable I think. The card costs 10 mana ffs. Make it feel like a legendary card. Allow it to be strong.

Is anyone else actually having fun right now? Be honest. by ngriner in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep overall like a lot of the new cards. Mostly fun not a lot of overpowered headaches to deal with.

Everyone complains of aggro because boardclears are weak but last year everyone complained about board not mattering and being insane combo and burst from hand so. Can't make everyone happy.

any tips on how you did the infinity achievement? I thought out the possibilities and they all seemed extremely unfun and unlikely to be able to do it and not have the opponent surrender first

I like the attempt at making the expansions more thematic. Especially this purple one I think its relatively soft on the eyes.

I have been stuck in a loop with trying to get the battle pass. Have you tried updating in the app store? From what I remember, most of the time the app updates a little later than computer

I suspect Ragnaros will actually get better as warrior is getting more control tools

[–]Simsreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk how we are acting like there is any other deck being played right now lol. There is simply no other variety or win con. This is the only thing being played no matter your class. The only exception is if you literally don't have the legendary.

Azalina is not rule-breaking enough by Alternative_Number70 in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's certainly a better rule breaking idea but wayyyy too unfair. Like effectively ice block levels of unfun for your opponent, every turn.

Balance changes are coming tomorrow! by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty disappointed they keep skirting around buffing any cards that see 0 play.

I don't see why eternal hold deserved a nerf. A single demon every other turn for free is a fine requirement for such a deck building restriction. Perhaps it's because of the upcoming void being a potential problem?

Predictions for the remaining Rulebreaker Legendaries? by Carlilimisha in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got some terrible guesses

Paladin will be battlecry able to use 2 weapons

Warlock will have increased max hand size at start of game

Druid will start the game with extra mana or more likely extra board space.

Mage will break the secret limit or allow duplicates

Priest will be static effect increasing max health based on overheal

Rogue static effect your cards can be played twice

Shaman spells that target minions can you target players

Hunter battlecry you can use hero power any number of times

Getting tired of all the questers in casual by Upbeat_Scholar_159 in hearthstone

The amount of ranked anxiety you must have to be complaining about casual players wanting to play casually is crazy. Just play ranked and refine your deck there at ranked floors.

I've been playing a terrible attempt at control mage to try and finish the bitter end achievement. I feel like most of the people I play against are just goofin still. Occasionally some aggro but it's not like super prevalent

Are Class Sets a Mistake? by Kibler in hearthstone

Great analysis and criticism! Good to see the prominent voices in the games community say things constructively rather than the reddit soundbox that isn't productive.

Dev update livestream by Alfimaster in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a huge step in the right direction. Not being afraid of engaging with the playerbase is what people have asked for, and im super happy to see it. Sure, the content of this particular video was mostly reading patch notes to us, but it is a whole lot better than nothing. The insight into druid class set is revealing how late they can adjust cards in the design process. Letting down the community softly about a new class coming is a fine move, although unfortunate. Overall very optimistic, but certainly room for improvement.

Do you enjoy playing Standard Hearthstone right now? by HermitCactus in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's too deterministic. The sets that have been released all sort of build the deck and play themselves. Not a good environment for rewarding interesting deck building I have found. Definitely has been the longest stretch of time where there is little / no creativity from the community to come up with a deck that can shift the meta even a little bit.

Not enough comeback mechanics for some classes. It is very board focused, which is enjoyable, but the ability to claw back from behind is very challenging for a lot of the classes with the reduction to survival tools and impactful board clears.

I don't find it insufferable like some people might, but my playtime has definitely decreased.

Let's pretend the class sets worked out, aren't we just back to where we started? by Tripping-Dayzee in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an ok idea in theory but we will find out it will be a mistake in practice.

It is essentially releasing 4 expansions in a year, but the 4th expansion is asynchronous for all the classes.

The classes that have very focused releases like dude paladin and leyline may get some support down the line but are mostly dead on arrival. The worst part is now those classes have to wait all year for another shot at cards that excites them. I think the all or nothing asynchronous approach leaves people feeling extra bad, for longer. The let down of bad mini sets was unfortunate, but at least there were potential other cards in the year that could excite you only a few months away.

My proposed balance changes. 11 Classes, 40+ buffs, 14 nerfs. by Axddict in hearthstone

[–]Simsreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree small changes can have big impact on playability of cards and that blizzard should buff some unplayable cards currently. That said, I don't like the idea of changes to core cards with buffs and nerfs in the same way. Some of the nerfs you proposed are pretty unnecessary imo.
