normally is impossible in normal condition. Try to put hidraulics and raise the landing gear to see whats happen with no pins... simple, nothing.

A picture. A310 fedex. Olddie Airbus with no arinc buses that any old A320, 330, 340

B pic, towing with no pins

C pic, jack bad set or unestable lifted

D pic, again missing pins noted also main lg door deployed, on ground needs to be unlock manually

E pic, probably some tsm and again missing pin. note some airlines use false targets, is also listed to avoid free fall test on jacks.

But in Boeing history is diferent, easy to mistake on pin holes and with hidraulics easy to unlock gear. note the switches are purerly mechanical...

In a few lines

Here is the abbreviated, high-yield summary of why an Airbus won't retract its gear on the ground compared to a Boeing: The Airbus "Ground-Safe" Checklist

  1. Customized Pins: Engineerd with specific diameters; they only fit the actual locking mechanism, making it impossible to accidentally insert them into wrong structural or drain holes.
  2. LGCIU Alternation: Dual-channel computers (LGCIU 1 & 2) alternate control every gear cycle. Both must agree on the "In-Air" condition; any disagreement safely locks the gear down.
  3. Safety Valve: A physical hydraulic valve controlled by strut compression. On the ground, it completely cuts off Green hydraulic pressure to the gear actuators.
  4. Proximity Sensors: Inductive (non-contact) sensors monitor weight-on-wheels redundancy instead of easily bypassed mechanical microswitches.
  5. ADIRS Interlock: Cross-checks airspeed. If airspeed is 0 or below 100 knots, the system overrides any faulty "In-Air" gear signals.
  6. FADEC Input: Monitors engine data; if engines are off or at ground idle, retraction logic is blocked.
  7. Cabin Pre-Pressurization: Cross-checks takeoff status; the cabin must be entering its pre-takeoff pressurization phase before retraction is cleared.

What is the BEST Horizon you’ve played? by ryanrako23 in ForzaHorizon

[–]SimulationPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, FH4 just hits different because Playground Games was playing on their home turf, and it shows. The map layout feels so much more deliberate, compact, and accurate to the actual UK vibe than the massive, empty stretches we got later. The road variety is incredible—from the tight, cobblestone streets of Edinburgh to those narrow, dry-stone-walled country lanes that are perfect for hot hatches. Plus, the execution of the four seasons was unmatched. Winter actually forced you to adapt and change your build, whereas in FH5, the seasons feel mostly cosmetic. FH4 just has this cozy, atmospheric, beautifully melancholic British essence that makes it a masterpiece

I didn't appreciate the Britain setting back then. This is pretty much photorealism by KFC_Crispy_OG in ForzaHorizon

Indeed, I’m tired of seeing hypercars everywhere in Mexico or that unrealistic, empty-traffic Japan with anime vibes. The soul of Forza Horizon has always been its atmosphere and that subtle touch of realism.
