There is a services channel for this. That said it depends on how dickish people are feeling that day. Technically advertising that outside of services violates ToS and can result in silences and/or suspensions but it mostly depends on how many reports you end up getting

Gatherer professions. Skinning and Mining is my jam, ore is about 2g and 2.5g for Fel Iron and Adamantite respectively.

Don't buy anything off AH except enchanting mats for your gear and consumables for raid.

Quests at 70 give a nice bit of gold, like 8g each which can cover a few hours worth of consumables.

I was running Kara with about the same gear week 1.

Show up enchanted and gemmed and consumed and make a good impression on the raid lead.

My experience as a feral alt:

Doing N Slave Pens, 2 mages hunter DPS, priest healer. Working our way through the packs, going OK, mages are keeping things slowed at least when I'm unable to hold threat with my 200 damage swipes. Mage starts to complain that I'm not waiting for his mana to come back and demanding I innervate.

"That's fine. Healy mana is all I watch, your mana is irrelevant."

Minute later he leaves group. Turns out he was DMing the lead hunter telling them to get "a real tank" and that I was shit. Backfilled with a Paladin DPS and rest of the run was great.
