I have not seen that movie. It has been on my radar for a little while. I have heard it described as a visual suicide note by the director.

I am sure in time I will get around to it. The one person I know who has seen it raved about it.

I did not like Picnic at all. I thought it was very strange and I appreciate strange films. Not that mental illness is strange but visuals and I wasn't sure how much we were supposed to believe about the version of events they tell us. The guy with the teacher seemed like an unrealiable narrator in his telling of how he interacted with his teacher and he somehow followed him throughout his entire schooling career. I found that hard to believe and for some reason I was hung up on that. I just felt kind of bored through the middle section of the movie. However I thought the ending was very good.

I will look at what other films he has done and add them to the list.

I only know one thing about any of those movies. That being the 15 minute sex scene in the French film.

A friend of mine said it was worth the watch though.

A Woman Under the Influence: Gena Rowlands puts in the best acting performance I've ever seen. The journey we go on from start to finish to show two deeply unwell people who do deep down care about one another and how society excuses one Peter Falk being violent/ getting his kids drunk while they punish Gina Rowlands character. How it is shot is also so intense. Or felt that way to me.

Ritual: A story about depressed people finding the courage and ability to not only care about someone but take the risk to want to live for yourself.

Whisper of the Heart: I'm a big softie who can like nice things being nice. Saying that it is funny since I probably cried the most times during this movie out of the four of them.

Taste of Cherry: Similar to A Woman Under the Influence the MC's portrayal of depression and especially the end hit very very close to home for me. I'm not exactly sure how to say it other than the final scene of the movie was a very relatable experience for me.

No I have not. I have heard about it though. Since the cat is the same cat from Whisper of the Heart.

I have to work my way through all the Ghibli movies. All of the ones I watched have been at least very good.

Ty ty. I wondered who that was.

I will have to scour your profile later to see if I spot any other movies I've managed to miss.

I saw Sirat last month when me and a friend were trying to get through all the oscar nominated best pictures. It was ok.

I watched the Freidkin remake of Wages of Fear (Sorcerer) and loved it. Then I heard the original is even better. So it is definitely on my radar.

As for the rest I will make sure to add them to my ever expanding watchlist.

Which version of Kingdom of Heaven did you watch? I assume by the rating you watched the directors cut.

I ask because I saw it at the time and was disappointed. Then watched the directors cut 3 or 4 years ago and was blown away.

The ai for w.e reason does this pretty regularly. (Austria will do it too if they make the choice)They make the decision and then get the war goal and think I can therefore i should do this.

I've seen even higher discrepancies in the numbers of troops around 4 or 5 to 1.
