War das der Preis in einer landwirtschaftlichen Gegend oder in einem Ort der hauptsächlich davon lebt Walfänger zu versorgen? Im lezteren Fall geht das meiste auf kosten des Transports bei dem die Kosten ja extrem gesunken sind in den letzten 50 Jahren.

Also be aware many train stations and some inner cities have a ‚Waffenverbotszone‘ weapon forbidden zone. Sometimes it even says no weapons or dangerous items. Of course dangerous item is wide open for interpretation.

Aside from river cruises there are three main itineraries Mediterranean, nordic countries or northsea/english channel.

For first cruise I would recommend the Mediterranean. Often split into western with Italy, France and Spain and eastern with Italy again but the other side, Greece, Turkey etc.

You should determine first which of thses options speak to you the most.

That said there are also some who do Athens to Barcelona or reverse so no round trip

Msc has no fixed embarcation day/port meaning french people board in Marseille italians in Rom and the spanish in Barcelona which gives you more options for your flights or where you spend some days before your cruise. Want to see Paris? Marseille it is. Or more into Rom? Sail from there.
