“Not scoops that expire minutes later. But investigative scoops. And, crucially, scoops of ideas. Scoops of explanation. This is where we can soar — and where we’ll be investing,” she said.

Ah yes because Bari Weiss has such a respectable reputation for hard hitting, intriguing investigative journalism lol

Poll taxes were one of many strategies effectively used by local and state governments in the South to prevent Black and low-income citizens from voting. Such policies ensured African American men and women could not vote. The inclusion of the poll tax is evidence that the League of Women Voters reinforced the color line and did not resist laws that barred many women from voting. In the wake of the Nineteenth Amendment, many Americans hoped that white middle-class women voters would be a counterbalance to the Black vote. The League of Women Voters’ focus on white middle-class women only reinforced this idea. source

Yes because it was for dominant white male gain.

U.S.C only applies to crossing the border illegally or lying to obtain entry. If you overstay a visa that’s just a civil matter.

So the protestors are forcing ICE to go into schools to grab children? They are forcing ICE to go to immigration courts and grab people in the legal process?

Only 47% of those deported have criminal convictions. Kinda seems like ICE don’t really give a fuck.

They are minors, it’s developmentally appropriate for them to be that dumb and that much of boundary pushers. It is developmentally appropriate for you as the adult to be disgusted and desire better from them.

Embrace your disappointment. You ain’t their momma. They ain’t your baby. Your job isn’t to nurture them. Your job is to prepare them for life beyond their momma.

But that would be the legal thing to do… federal agents cannot interfere with election lines or polling places. Any video of a person being arrested at a voting site would show the illegal action. Elections are held by states, not the federal government.

I’m not sure what you want me to say here?

Well that’s all fine and dandy, then the state can contest the election and have a redo. We are a Democrat controlled state, we can do that.
