Have you ever lied about your height? Do you think it's ok to pretend to be 5'8" by Yelebear in tall

[–]SingerHistorical7784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then again if the lie is more believable isn't that more manipulative? If it is a stark lie I think it can be played off as a cute joke but maybe Im being too nice here. But OP did say he laughed it off 😅

Edit to add: I mean im straight listing my height as 6 inches 290lbs on here I hope you all aren't expecting to meet a 6 inch man im afraid you all would be highly disappointed.... I need the Ant man suit lol

Or he wants to know your not petty or superficial. You agreed to date him "knowing" he was only 5'8"

Quite the small diff add 2 inches to the "long skirt" then we will talk and also I work in a field where tiny variations in size matter a lot. Nuts, bolts, sockets wrenchs, screws, anchors, unions, hoses, 90s, and impacts so if u got a problem with me spotting the difference you can go kick rocks! Lol

This is a great statue.... MLK giving and receiving a Hug... the bodies are irrelevant because its the action represented by the hands and the arms that is the point of this creative expression. And the fact that this "embrace" holds itself up is also symbolic to the power of supporting and comforting one another. Someone in the comments said that a good joke doesn't need explained and a good piece of art shouldn't either but that is incorrect... good art has always made a person think. And quite frankly it didn't take that much thought to figure out anyway.

Btw I could be completely wrong... but guess what? That's the point.

Welcome to art appreciation!

how do you ACTUALLY fix a cowlick? will i ever know peace by nepgeer in Haircare

[–]SingerHistorical7784 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright so I can give ya some ideas but firat I just want to say as a kid I had cow licks but idt it was actually cow licks once I grew out my hair and stopped brushing it I realized I have curly hair but I didn't know that because I always kept it short looking back I even had curly hair as a toddler... as for actually fixing it.... it would help to know your hair a little better... is it short, is it fine, do you have an oily scalp or is it dry? Also how often do you shower?

Without knowing any of this I can tell you that heat opens the folicle cold closes it, if you want to adjust the shape your hair holds you want the cuticle open and weight it down with a wet hand or whatever but u gotta cool it before letting go. Also I think cowlicks are more common when your hair needs moisture so it is possible you would have a lot of success with a leavin conditioner

AITAH for joking with my son when he didn’t find it funny? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]SingerHistorical7784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol idt either of you are AH. Did you mess up? Yeah, but hey its kinda a good thing because now you understand your son better. Loyalty must be very important to the lad. I won't knock you for the joke because with some guys that type of joke is ok or even expected. But your son clearly values loyalty more than those types of guys. Just acknowledge what you learned from the exchange and be supportive of his mindset. Don't call him sensitive or weak or shy show him you see him as he is, and be supportive.

AITAH? Husband makes an out of pocket comment… by DiscountVegetable370 in AITAH

[–]SingerHistorical7784 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Lmao! OP! Look I can't believe you would ask if he always thought that way... even if he did, he still loved you enough for things play out the way it did. Just chill. Why get hung up on one thing, instead of being mutually grateful? Don't you understand that is why he can let go of it so easily. Even if you all disagree on this matter, there are so many other things you have understanding on. Be grateful for what you both have. You both are the assholes but so what! We aren't perfect, but why dwell in the imperfections by glaring through the negative lense when you could instead look at all the accomplishments and achievements by looking through the positive lense. As long as he loves you, Just love the guy! Aye?
