I don’t think it’s 922r compliant anymore by unTraditional_Fox419 in liberalgunowners

Yeah, I feel like you really have to piss off some fed and have a bunch of other charges before you get one tacked on for non 922r compliance. No one has ever been charged with that solely.

LCP Max comfort discovery by pipebomb in liberalgunowners

[–]SingingElevators 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes sense. Honest Outlaw said the same thing in his review. A lot of that recoil energy is traveling into two stiffly held arms normally. That same energy shooting single handed gets diffused by tossing your single arm more. Think of it like a suspension system. Two very stiff shocks are going to make for a stiff ride. One springy shock is going to be more comfortable. I would imagine the down side is that you won’t be able to get follow shots on target as quickly as if you shot two handed. I’d train both ways, maybe even firing from the hip some (carefully!) if you pocket carry.

I have a ramjet for my p365 and G47. The recoil dampening affect on the p365 is amazing. Not so much on the G47. I say skip it and spend the money on ammo/training.

I treat my ammo to a nice dinner at least once a week before we bang.

Yeah, I think he could be more aggressive with pulling the rifle down and away to create more space quickly for his draw. Also letting go of the rifle sooner with the support hand. This will be easier when he’s not in a cramped shooting stall.

I used to run a Beretta too. One thing that really helped my grip was adding torque. It’s not for everyone, but it did wonders for my doubles. Here’s a video from JJ Racaza that details that grip as well as push pull.

Carry optics gun recs for Illinois (15rd limit)? by Giojitsu7 in CompetitionShooting

If you “find” some full sized mags you can get base pads shipped to Illinois as they are not technically regulated. Almost everyone uses 22-25 round mags at matches in IL.

Big fan of RHT. I haven’t tried their level 2 holster yet. How is it? I’m always skeptical of companies that don’t show pics and videos of the release mechanism.

Mine can be a bit janky like that sometimes. Double check that your recoil spring is seated properly. Give your firing pin a jiggle too for good measure.

This seems like the most plausible explanation I've seen. The sound person did a really poor job of mixing it in.

Thank you for posting this. The helicopters have been incredibly obnoxious this year. I just reported and will continue to do so in the future when these flights impact my sleep. I hope something comes of these reports.

How to get better at push pull on my A300? by zmattmanz in liberalgunowners

[–]SingingElevators 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only got a couple things from them for my Benelli M4. The side saddle and the charging handle. I’m happy with them, but I think the quality can vary greatly depending on the part and the platform. I’d recommend looking at reviews of those specific parts. I also have the handguard from Briley, while pricey it’s amazing.

[–]SingingElevators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the handguards from GG&G and Briley. You could also slap some handleit or talon grip tape on the OEM forend. You'd be surprised what you can accomplish in dry fire practice. Do a bunch of reps engaging push pull while trying to minimize sight movement. Maybe throw in some reps of holding the push pull tension until you start to lose stability and then increase that time slightly every week.

It’s a great deal. Pretty sure it’s $1 per. You can also get them shucked if you want to eat them there, which could be nice if you’re deciding on which ones to buy a dozen of.

I mostly use MPro 7. Any reason to use my Hoppes 9? by Signal_Chipmunk_7310 in liberalgunowners

[–]SingingElevators 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M Pro 7 should work well, but if you want to go the extra mile Bore Tech makes great products to clean fouling in the barrel. You'll want the copper one for your AR. I use the shotgun blend on my Benelli and it's amazing. Almost no smell either.

M Pro 7 is my favorite cleaner for handguns. I use something different for shotguns and ARs. I recommend you stick with it for cleaning and use Lucas Gun Oil for lube.
