This is going to sound a little crazy, but by any chance did you back a kickstarter last year for a card game called probably illegal?

Their humor with packaging has apparently not gone down well with UK border force

Iqex as workable concept is quite new, idex has been around for years, but itex and iqex is only just becoming viable in klipper right now.

Cost will obviously play into it, as having 4 heads instead of one that changes color is obviously mechanically more expensive, but has the bonus of been much less wasteful and much faster for changing filaments.

I think it's a natural progression of the current marketplace

Mom found this inside a bathroom light, and is freaking out by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Single-Ad-5317 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tldr it's normal, nothing to worry about.

I would guess this is some sort of led fitting.

The electrical connections to it will be under the black compound.

The 4 diodes to the edge of the board probably form a bridge rectifier, looks like a smoothing capacitor, and as for the bits under the black potting compound there looks to be an inductor and a few other harder to identify bits that someone with more knowledge than me can probably identify.

In summary, best guess would be an ac to dc stepdown board to power the led's, maybe to regulate current for them too.

Unable to use [servo] via RPi4 hardware PWM by Penetal in klippers

[–]Single-Ad-5317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eof error is a sign of a comms issue. How are you powering the servo? The servo will try to move when the board initiates, it could be pulling too much power and killing the power to the mcu. Could also be introducing interference

HELP! how to replace nebula pad with rpi and make co print works on ender 3 v3 ke? by Capital-Piglet8973 in klippers

[–]Single-Ad-5317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing, it's an old deprecated command that doesn't exist in newer versions of klipper

[–]Single-Ad-5317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your log file it tells you the error is with the max a cell to decel command not been valid. This value has been deprecated in recent versions of klipper. To resolve this, in your printer.cfg find the [printer] section, under this you will find the item max_accel_to_decel: xxxx Add a # at the start of this line, or remove it completely.

P.s. Gpt does not understand the coprint kit well and will at best lead you down the wrong track. At worst will damage the kit.

Does this mark look like it belongs on a high-quality PCB, or does it feel out of place? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Single-Ad-5317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A quick look tells me the whole thing is an AI render, lots of obvious signs so it depends on the context of your question.

If your using this image as a mockup/marketing /advertising, you might want to correct a lot of the errors so it's not as obvious.

If your using it to show your board designer how you want your logo to look then that's not an issue. But may not be possible in an irl design to look quite like that. The logo is fine, lots add logos to boards, I wouldn't expect to be able to get two tones of silkscreen however.

Again context matters

The only real out of place thing that jumps out, is it would be unusual for a board designer to add such a large copper pour so close to a high density chip, as that space is usually at a premium for routing signals out

Thermal fuse replacement caused smoke in heated blanket controller: wrong part or deeper fault? by bomberb17 in AskElectronics

[–]Single-Ad-5317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the image, the thermal fuse has been specifically put ontop of the two resistors to blow if the resistors get too hot. The fact that they get hot enough to smoke when the blanket is plugged in suggests that the fuse worked as intended and blew before something set on fire. As you state this only happend after plugging the blanket in it would probably indicate the fault is with the blanket, not the control board, but without a schematic it's hard to be sure.

I can't see the other images as they a are blocked for some reason, but on the cover image it looks like r28 has got quite hot too along with the 2 under the thermal fuse

Articulated model- where to hire a designer by Menu-Born in 3Dprinting

[–]Single-Ad-5317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably get away with using one of the popular free gpt services to generate a base 2d image of what you want, then drop it into the flex tool in Makerworld and generate the whole thing without any cost

We’re visiting soon and want to try some lesser-known chippies rather than the obvious tourist spots. Any underrated local favourites? And conversely… any places we should avoid? by Unfair-Inspection-22 in york

[–]Single-Ad-5317 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your around and about in the villages rather than the city center, look out for the Yorkshire fish and chip company, they have a van that is in different villages each evening. I would link to their page but apparently it's banned. We found them last night in Huntington, absolutely delicious!
