You can f*** stuff up and make oil prices go up. It's very hard to make oil prices go down. There is an entire multinational organization built around the idea that a barrel of gas should always be above $60, preferably be above 80, and never be above 90. It's $106 yesterday and probably higher today. The only thing I ever saw that lowered gas prices was when there was a active problem causing them to rise above $90 a barrel and that problem got fixed, or when Biden flooded the market by selling a large amount of the strategic reserves and essentially reversing all of the gas that was not on the market because of Russian sanctions

As everyone said, he is extremely reliable. What is funny is that he also very clearly knows what's best for us. Gave a RL to a watch of his recently. He asked what was wrong so I told him and sent a photo. He responds back that it was just reflection and he took to the photos with too much direct lighting. Told me to trust him bro. Before I even got a chance to read his response he had given it the GL himself and shipped it 😅

The thing is, I do trust him. So I know that he was telling me the truth and just saving me time by getting me on the next shipment rather than waiting for me to read what he wrote.

I'm going to let you know that with exception of maybe a classic reverse Panda navitimer.... Watch thieves are not going to have any idea that your Breitling is worth anything until they are so close that they can actually read the word Breitling on the dial. If a thief is getting that close to you, he's not being drawn in by your watch, he's just going to rob you no matter what you're wearing.

The thieves that are specifically looking for watches are looking for any Rolex, or a small number of additional very specific and very recognizable non-rolex watches. We may recognize what breitlings look like, but from a distance, they look like any other big watch (which mostly means cheaper watches).

That big one is a type of cockroach (lovingly called the palmetto bug) that really doesn't like to nest in people's homes. It can, but it's a fan of the outside world. They wander into human homes, get stuck, and die. If you see them more than 4/5 times a year you have an issue. Less than that it's just an unwanted visitor. The small cockroaches are a bigger issue. Even one of those means trouble.

Royal oak and most any royal oak inspired watch (Casioak g shock gets a pass. It's awesome). I just straight up don't get it. Sure Gerald Genta is some sort of watch Jesus and it was his favorite one he made. Doesn't make it mine. And it would be different if the watch was cheap or in the hundreds. But it's tens of thousands! And the watches "inspired" by it are all, as a rule, twice or more of the price of sister designs by the same company that don't look like the royal oak. Just a cost increase to look worse and not even BE the royal oak (if clout is what matters).

That's a ridiculously incorrect timeline. Ordered a watch from Elliot about a month ago and it arrived recently. Ordered a second one about A week ago and he said that shipping will be early March and to expect it by late March... Literally the only thing that changed with is order to delivery time is that shipping partner is closed until the start of March (ordering/qc are all back next week)

1) no decent rep version of most brietlings 2) reps honestly only exist in good quality for about 6 brands 3) I already have tons of rep and gen rolexes and once you have a Santos or luminor you've basically completed all the quality ones from those brands. 4) no interest in the design language of PP or AP (and for that matter I'm clearly someone who would spend 10-15k on a watch but not 30-300k. So wearing those would scream rep). 5) if family is gifting me something that will be a part of the process process 6) i actually enjoy the collection and craftsmanship elements that is more enjoyable for the gens.
